I say Ricky HAtton. Not a bad fighter. But not even close to what the media made people believe

Why do posters list him as over the hill? He was 35. He had a long layoff and I believe he did not train as hard as he should have. I mean, he gave Holyfield hell for the title and played with Mercer. Tyson lost to Holyfield twice as you know.

With his deceptive speed, power, and great timing, he was one of the best ever 140. The Phillips fight woke him up. Why no rematch, don't know. Chavez and Mitchell were begging to fight him due to his style that kind of looked like a very slow fighter. This is why I used deceptive speed. Zab learned that the hard way. That may possibly be the fight that mentally damaged Zab. He fought everyone that was there to fight. Mitchell and Zab were beating everyone and then they ran into KT. I wouldn't call him a joke, blame the weak opposition as he reigned maybe.

Michael Grant, Ricardo Williams, and Bojado come to mind. A shout out to Pavlik. He was super hyped and then gets schooled by Hopkins. He has never been the same. The two Taylor wins and.......

I think he wrecked Zab, Zab was very highly regarded then.

JWW was a very dtrong division in those days as well.

Floyd, SSM and Oscar were not looking to face him either, not saying that they ducked him, as they had bigger names to fight or contract problems showtime/hbo etc...

Probably Zab. He was being to likened to a young Pernell Whitaker with power when he was undefeated. Went on to lose to every elite boxer he fought, and was beaten up badly by all of them except Spinks. He even managed to lose to Baldomir, and was very lucky to escape with a win over a 38 year old Rafael Pineda. The hype has died down a bit on this guy as he's gone off the radar. But you will still hear the claims he can clean out 140.
