I'm just seeing this for the first time myself. [DM]xdcmzg[/DM] [dm]xdctht[/dm] Katsidis is a real warrior - basically just eating punches the first two rounds to get Mitchell's measure, then coming out hot in the third and never relenting after smelling blood in the water, taking it out of the judges' hands altogether. Both are class acts.
thank goodness he got the KO when i read the RBR there was quite a few ppl who gave Mitchell the 1st round when it was dominantely controlled by Kats.
The first left, then the right, then the left again, then the other right, then that big left at the end. That lucky *******.
Good stoppage...not the best. I personally thought Mitchell could've fallen and then recoup'd a bit to survive, but can't argue with the stoppage. Katsidis just beat the ever loving **** outta this dude.
He's a young bloke - Nothing wrong with taking him out of the contest at that point. Then so he has more chance to retool and have another go. He should learn from that.
Mitchell would have been bludgeoned if it wasn't stopped, he was hurt badly already in that round. They want to save him for the future, which is why the ref came in before the pain was really thrown down.
Bad stoppage imo, sure he was hurt but I'm a believer the ref should hold off until the man gets knocked down and let him take a count and see how he is afterwards. Different fighters have a different recovery rate after a KD, we didn't even get to see Mitchells.
The stoppage was fine. Mitchell was on his way to being brutalized. It was apparent he had NOTHING to keep Kat off with. Kat walked through all his punches, and just man handled and devestated him. I dont see how it was a case of Mitchell not being prepared. It was the same Kevin Mitchell as always. It was just man against boy in there.
Mitchell was defenseless and on the ropes which is why it was stopped. Katsidis definitely controlled and won the 1st round. Found out he was the much stronger fighter and took him out accordingly.
