...But maybe not a good idea for a kind of fight "stay busy".

As a semi Grant fan, I'm happy that he's gettting a decent payday and maybe just maybe a chance to get close to the top again. Grant hasn't fought anybody of note in the past few years, but I suspect that he's still a better test than Holyfield at this point (see holy-ibrag for how holy-adamek would probably go).

Assuming Grant isn't real shot (he may be), it's a decent stay busy fight for adamek too because it's a little experience with a massive Hw.

Not a bad fight and i'd love to see grant somehow resurrect his career.

If Adamek knocks down Grant, are we gonna get the "OOOOOHHH! HE BROKE HIS LEGS THAT'S IT IT'S OVER!!!!!!" line?

Was all over polish sites a few days ago. That Hbo would like to Make Adamek-Peter fight as a final title eliminator somewhere around december. Not confirmed yet, but the same story was with arreola bout.

Personally I thought when Adamek took the Arreola fight it was a bit too soon for him, and he needed to face someone a bit lower in the rankings before going up against Arreola. But what I have seen from Adamek is his ability to adapt to different style fighters. After defeating Golota, which let's face it, wasn't a huge accomplishment, he adjusted to the compact quick style of Jason Estrada, then once again adapted to the hard hitting Arreola. I can see how the fight against Grant could look like trouble for Adamek for the average boxing fan who hasn't followed Adamek's career that closely. Since Shields and Bloodworth have taken of training, you can see the ability to adapt to mostly North American style heavyweights. I think Adamek will be ok in this fight, I believe Grants somewhat lack of dedication and motivation, not pure talent, will cause Grant to fold under the pressure and be outclassed by a much more hungry and dedicated boxer.

Man Grant has a chin just as weak as Wlad Klitschko. This would be a good test fight for Adamek to see how his power would do if he could land on wlad's chin. I've always said Grant and Wlad's chins were about even. Wlad just guards his a lot better. But at least Adamek will know if he has the power the drop Wlad which I think he does.

Good point. But even if he manages to deck Grant he will still have to learn to land on Wlad, which is a totally different story.

I don't think it's the motivation that's the issue. Grant just doesn't have enough natural talent and athleticism, and his chin is questionable.

You can have all the power in the world but if you can't connect it's useless.

Grant is no better at this stage than Arreola or really even an old Golota. Adamek will pick him apart. It's a really smart tune-up for the Klits.

I am really curious about the style Adamek will implement to fight that big opponent. I guess it gonna be much like Haye/Valuev. Haye and Booth showed us the best tactic (rly Booth is enormous strategist) how to trick a giant and surely win round by round. Adamek should study that fight if he thinks of a decent victory. His next fight could be against Vaulev and if he somehow overcomes him, the only left then is Haye (After Haye destroys both Klits ofc).

Grant is a good call a guy whos resembles the brothers atleast build wise give Tomazs an idea of what he is working with so he does not crap his pants in the first round like most of their opponentes. Than take on another big tall guy on a winning streak in austin who is ranked in the WBC and would set him up for Vitali

Much better fight than Holyfield, looking forward to it.

To those complaining, **** off please. Who do you expect him to fight?, Muhammad Ali or Goerge Foreman?. Some idiots really, the division is already lacking and in his first THREE fights moving up he fought Golota, Arreola and now Grant. Don't forget that NO ONE gave him a chance against Golota or Arreola.

He was favored by bookies in both Golota and Arreola.

I'm a bit dissappointed it won't be Chambers or Haye...I'd like to see Adamek box and not be outsized and have to run all night.

Grant is 40th on Boxingrec...that's not too shabby.

Looks like Adamek will get a title shot soon so maybe it's better not to risk a loss.
