Excellent article. The USADA has their own protocol so the fact that the last test was 18 days before fight does not mean this was negotiated by the fighters. And, as stated, the deterrent factor is key.

For chrissakes if you are a clean fighter, agree to the terms and stop making it look as if you either have something to hide or are afraid of a loss.

Mayweather gave blood and urine on March 22, April 1, April 13 and then May 1 after the fight. He gave urine only on April 3, April 6, April 21 and April 24.

Mosley gave blood and urine on March 23, March 31, April 12 and then May 1 after the fight. He gave urine only on March 29, March 31, April 7, April 20 and April 26.

    Hmm 30-12=18

Sounds like Arum was dead on. How's he looking more dumb than usual? If anything, it shows that Tygart is in somebody's back pocket with how fast they react when GBP need to stomp this rumor.

Arum never really wanted this fight to happen imo.

He'd be happier with the in-house fights like, Pac/Margo at Cowboy Stadium,,, and Pac/Foreman at Yankee Stadium.

I guess we'll see soon enough.

It isnt about the actual dates that Arum spoke of its the fact that they could have called in on SSM at ANY TIME , this in effect should act as a deterant and stop a fighter taking the drugs.

Because Arum is confusing the issue over the cut off date, they took the last blood test 18 days out but neither Mayweather of Mosley knew it was the last blood test they were going to give and could have been subjected to another test all the way up to the morning of the fight.

What Arum is trying to do is say that if an 18 day cut off day is acceptable in that fight then there shouldn't be a problem with making a 14 day cut off for the Pacquiao fight, the point he's missing (or likely just being awkward) is that there was no arranged cut off date for the fight with the 2 fighters.

This is what I mean. *******s have a serious cognitive dissonance.

Arum is way off. Every aspect of the testing is at the USADA's discretion! There was no "cut off" determined by the fighters!

I seriously think guys backing Pac on this suffer from mental defect. :think

Not really, his math was on. That aside, the cut off is about blood which for the 100th friggen time is pointless as a screener and completely useless as a HGH detector. You don't need to screen when Pac is given you unlimited urine. You don't need to screen for **** when you have all the urine you could want to test for everything.

What wouldn't change is the unlimited and random urine tests which is ACTUALLY what keeps the athletes honest. Blood isn't the key here. The blood is being used as like an umbrella that is partially redundant.

Given this, why make such a big deal about the blood test, seriously its ****ing ******ed and does nothing but complicate things. Well that is, unless you don't really want to fight the guy.
