Its kind of ironic that BY FAR the best fight of the night was the wash up fight between 2 guys who werent supposed to fight on TV. This is what boxing SHOULD be, 2 guys going all out and selling out. I know they werent great technical fighters, i know they arent skilled and i know not everyone has that style....but theres just something to be said for 2 guys who went 110% the whole night, and I agree with Tessitore that I'd MUCH rather watch this then Pac-Clottey.

I like watching special fighters who can do tihngs that other fighter's can't. Fighters who can elevate themselves above the rest of the pack. Guys with heart and guts are commendable but without ability they are a dime a dozen. As hard as this may seem to believe, heart and toughness are easier to come by than ability.

Well they cannot fight this style all their careers. They will be brain damaged if they will be fighting at such pace for another 15 years..

    But great fight notheless...

by the way. Anyone know how they managed to get a shot to fight on National TV?
or how much will they make??

The kid can box but chooses to flat out brawl. Makes for exciting fights but short careers.

it's definetly refreshing...it's been a while since we seen something this exciting...it would be a miracle to see a fight half as exciting featuring any of the bigger names.

Let's hope that changes during Showtime's card tomorrow night.

I've seen fights in bars where the combatants showed more skill.

Come on, it was a fun fight.. but that's it. I enjoy watching two highly skilled well matched fighters.

See the diff between Luna x 2 vs Marquez/Izzy or Castillo/Corrales which were great brawls, is the amount of skill between them.

Two unskilled guys just winging at each other for 4 rounds is what boxing SHOULD BE. Go watch MMA.

That last fight is a PART of boxing, an integral part, but boxing is vast and complex and there are many different types of fighters, and fights. Different styles, different match ups. That's what makes it the best sport in the world.

To say two unskilled rookies winging power shots at each is boxing is just idiocy from boxing fans who don't really respect the sport.

The funny thing is you missed my point completely, I even stated that i was awware that others had different styles. Why it is what boxing should be isnt because of the haymakers or anything else, it was 2 guys SELLING OUT and giving everything they had, as opposed to some fights where you see one guy just mail it in. There was a certain purity about the Luna fight that I havent felt in a lot of recent fights.
