I agree.....but then again over the last 8 yrs Manny has been in TOUGH fights the whole time. He's one of the very few fighters who actually SEEK OUT challenges that place him in situations where he has even greater risks and chances of loosing. He moves up in wieght....looks for the best to test himself and prepares accordingly. Floyd, Sergio and Paul are all great risks and great boxers alike. And they can all beat Manny.....but Manny can beat all of them as well.
Margo will be easy. I'm guessing he'll get the fight and a bonus to stand there and be a willing target.
Sometimes too tough? There are few he didn't beat. Rustico Torrecampo, Medgoen Singsurat, Agapito Sanchez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Eric Morales
Manny only lost to EM in the last 8 yrs and of course coming from the Phillipines without a solid foundation to support or harnest the xtreme level of Talent the kid has, saw a very raw, unpolished and one demensional fighter who seasoned GREATS were able to do well and in one case win. How Manny has evolved is incredible and is far from the fighter who we saw struggle with JMM, Singsuurat, sanchez and EM. JMM lost twice to Manny but got a gift draw which allowed him to hold on to a title that he lost. The rematch corrected the original outcome.
I don't think that Margarito is viable option for Pac since he is not licensed to fight in the US. I can't see Manny going to Mexico to fight him.
i really want the floyd fight win or lose as his last fight. but if floyd will be hard headed and decides to stick with his demand/s, then either pac should retire or fight one more time in front of his own people but i know that is wishful thinking and pac would be fighting to make a few more millions before hanging it up permanently.
if not then he can fight in the philippines for pac's farewell fight. not that i am honoring someone that was caught cheating, coz i think it's a disgrace, but anyone would do for his farewell fight in front of his people that is if floyd doesn't want to fight pacquiao next.
The only fight Manny can take that will be worthwhile in a historical sense is Mayweather. If he wins that fight, he can retire as an ATG but even if he loses that fight with a good performance, it will at least solidify him as a great warrior in the ring. Beating Margo would be a nice payday, but after Mosley destroyed him I don't see it meaning much in the grand scheme of things. Fighting Williams or Martinez will be very tough for him and unless he fights either at 154, there will be too much talk about the weight issues if he wins. The Cotto/Foreman winner won't mean anything, since he already smashed Cotto and Foreman isn't regarded as much of a champ. A move to 140 would be possible, but IMO he would have to take out Alexander and Bradley to make it worthwhile. So if hes looking for one final fight, its Mayweather only.
Margacheato is a VERY easy fight for Pac, he was outclassed by an old Mosley, and Cotto was outclassing him early before he ran out of gas, Margo is very limited.
