Anyone know why Marquez and Morales never fought?

    Morales offered Marquez a fight right after Pac/JMM I but JMM pussed out.

    I believe JMM demanded a ridiculously high purse, was it $3M ? I am not very sure of the figure.

    Marquez would've outboxed Morales at 126.

    Marquez only became a viable opponent after the first Pacquiao fight and after that, he was poorly managed and the big fights eluded him. He could have fought Barrera back then too or Pacquiao quickly but, like I said, he was poorly managed.

    I think the loss to Freddie Norwood dropped Marquez out of the scene for a little bit, while Morales and Barrera were top dogs

    I honestly don't know. I got a feeling the fight is probably right around the corner though.

    simple when morales and barrera were the big dogs nacho was over cautious was a shame really but to be fair marquez was never in the position to really demand a fight when they were at there peaks

    :deal Rejected bouts with MAB, Morales, and Hamed for smaller purses against no-name bs titlists.

    They where both promoted by Bob Arum, are Marquez was to much risk to Morales money making potential.

    He chased Hamed for 2 years,then Hamed offered to fight him in a month before starting preparation.

    i thought hamed only accepted to fight him after he lost to norwood? also i seen enough in the marquez barrera fight to know that a prime morales would of ran through him no disrespect to marquez one of my favourite fighters just cant see him winnin this one prime for prime
