Here's the Pudz vs Sylvia fight

Hype job? Did anyone took him seriously, especially after last fight which could easily go either way?

BTW, while Pudzianowski technique and stamina were terrible, and the fight was hard to watch, I wouldn't say he has no heart.

 

You gotta have heart to climb into the ring with big experienced vet like Tim. Pudz is not a conditioned fighter. If he wants to have a future he needs to step back and train only for a bit.

 

Maybe you didn't read my post properly? You cant count that as a clean takedown, he didn't land on top of him or control for even a moment.

 

Maybe there needs to be a clear universal criteria. He got him off his feet and (albeit only momentarily) on his back. Ground control is considered as a separate scoring criteria from the TD themselves, I thought.

 

Judging in MMA is so ****ed because of how it's scored; it's all over the map! I don't even think the judges themselves know (there are some good/decent ones). They for sure know jack crap about grappling. For sure, beyond a doubt, 100% positive. They should be made to take BJJ classes for a year and study wrestling for a month. Seems they know striking okay, because many of the judges come over from boxing, but they're amazingly ignorant to the fundamental aspects of grappling. It's absolutely **** incredible.

Pudzianowski is one of the best, if not THE BEST, Polish Athletes this past decade. Log off cause you're sounding like a ******.

 

Didn't train enough?

He didn't have time to fully train for this fight dude......

What you seem to forget is that Pudzian only had 2 weeks to prepare for Sylvia....Pudzian had a fight 2 weeks prior to Sylvia and won a very tough contest vs a 11-1 experienced Jap. 2 weeks isnt ENOUGH TIME to re-cooperate after a battle and hard fight like that.....ESPECIALLY against a very experienced and former world heavyweight champ like Tim Sylvia! However as shot and has-been he is...Sure he might be that but Experience alone will take you a long way. Pudzian still has a bit of time to take some training and even rematch and BEAT Sylvia, cause I know he can.

Not that im making excuses to why Pudzian lost, but there are various factors and information out there that contribute to Pudzian's loss. Inexperience, Poor training opportunities, not enough time in between 2 fights, his physique...What Im saying is that Pudzian didn't lose cause he "sucks", he lost because his handlers and team aren't contributing enough seriousness in his potential MMA career....

Thats like comparing Boxing to MMA again, only this time im looking at a post comparing MMA to Strongman Competitions.

lol....dude...you can find the strongest guy in MMA with the BEST STAMINA, and he coulnd't even be compared to Pudzian in a Strongman Competition. A guy like Lesnar would get DESTROYED trying to compete with Pudzian in the Atlas Stones for example. Pudzian would seriously embarrass him in that.

Your trying to say the same argument, but with different sports. Pudzian isn't no slouch, he had a privilege and right to try his shot in MMA due to many accomplishments in another sport....

Pudzian is a joke?

Pudzian is one of the Greatest Polish Athletes this past decade. Hes also one of the greatest World Athletes this past decade. Arguablly top 10-15 easily. Pudzian is like the Strongman, Tiger Woods!

He is one of the most accomplished World Champions in a Sport(Strongman) He holds records, he has world titles, beaten former champs, and various other things. His legacy in this sport can even ARGUABLY be considered as the GOAT.

This is actually one of the reasons why I think its better that Pudzian lost to Syvlia.

Now that he has given MMA a go, he now has the option in 1. Taking MMA seriously, getting in the proper MMA fighting shape and learn a lot of moves and tricks by some good trainers etc... and all that bull****... or option 2. Go back in the sport that you are clearly the best in, and just continue to extend your legacy in it.

Id rather have Pudzian go back to Strongman competitions and have him create a bigger legacy and name for himself, and at somthing that he is REALLY GOOD at.

Pudzian may have lost, but he's still the man. 8)

I actually had a little feeling that big Pudzian is gonna take MMA not as serious as Strongman competitions. He simply has too much bulk. If he wants to get serious in MMA, hes gonna need to hit the treadmill and change a little bit in his diet. But if he does that, that will interfere in his Strongman "body type" that he needs. But I dont thionk Pudzaian has officially retired in Strongman competitions, hes just testing hisvery useful talent in a different sport. Now he realizes that MMA isn't really about pure strength and toughness, which Pudzian has a lot of, but its a combination of skill, talent, technique and style.

I mean seriously, this guy is the Strongest Mother ****er on this planet and he has the deserved his right into trying something else. He's proved himself countless numbers of times in one sport, so why not try another one?

Pudzian is a straight up freak and hes prooved it 5 times. We all know hes a fantastic athlete, and he knows it too. Pudzian literally destroys all competition in 1 sport (Strongman) so he descided to try something else that relates to this profession and thats MMA. Its kinda good that he lost, cause now we are gonna see his full stabnce in his future career.

Now he is gonna realize its gonna take time, patience, a good trainer, and many other things, to become a MMA fighter and that he can't transfer that quickly to a different sport and be real good just cause he has a great advantage to many other fighters(Strength).

 

Awful fight as expected. Pudz is a legend as a strongman but he was always going to struggle in MMA, way too big and well, no speed or martial arts experience.
One of the commentators was the worst I have ever heard, picking Pudz at the start because he had promised the Polish fans he would win and people wont make a promise they cannot keep.atsch:rofl

He then chimed in at the start of the second that this one might go the distance. :roll: After the first had ended with Pudz looking totally gassed, and on the verge of being stopped by nothing shots, hardly able to stand or even raise his guard...

Yeah looks like it will go the distance mate.

Sylvia looked dreadful too,out of shape, sluggish and and with poor stamina that only held up because the man he was fighting has the worst stamina in the sport.
Pudz should go back to strongman and try to win a 6th world title.

 

I heard a rumor that Pudz is planning his next fight in Sept vs Pawel Nastula (an experienced Polish MMA\Judo fighter).

 

What an embarrassment of a fight, both looked like beginners.
