looks like Pac is confident enough to give PBF the advantage on this issue. Even though Pac has no business agreeing to this, anything that gets the fight made at this point is a good thing.

I don't care how they fight I (and I am not the only BOXING FAN here) just want to see the fight made with test or not test at all. Just fight already!!!

The thing that I don't understand though, why is Floyd asking for these test now and didn't ask for them before? I know Mosley took the test because Floyd had no other option but to request it to Mosley too or else Floyd would look like an a$$ if he didn't request them. So from now on Floyd will be asking these test from whomever he fights? He has too or it won't look good among the public. GBP and Floyd said they wan't to clean the sport (which is good) but why are they (GBP) only offering these test when Floyd fights and not when the other boxers from GBP fight? :think So are those other boxers of GBP like Canelo Alvarez, Victor Ortiz etc.. okay with just the "regular" test? :think Don't get me wrong, I am all for cleaning the sport but I am also all for the justice side. If you want to be fair then everyone should take them. Not just a few selected fighters :verysad

OMFG...the things people do are hysterical. So now it's a game of "ducking?" Since when did not responding to someone's statement in less than 24 hrs became known as ducking? Manny isn't necessarily calling out Floyd. He's just saying he's willing to compromise. And I'm sure it's just a way to get people off his back after being hounded all day about a potential fight with Floyd. They both are still busy with other stuff outside of Boxing and need time to chill before they can even think about re-negotiating. People are acting like desperate paparazzi trying to get a peek under the door or be a fly on the wall. I mean I want to see the fight just as much as anyone...but damn..some people are really reaching.

As for the 14 day cutoff....it's really up to Floyd as to whether he will accept it or not. Either way you must respect his decision. If he shoots it down it does not mean he is ducking Pacquiao. It could mean the offer which was once offered is no longer valid (you don't expect a sale to last forever do you?) Now if Pac accepts completely randomized testing and out of nowhere Floyd comes up with a new, ridiculous clause then we can start calling him a coward. Otherwise let's take it easy and not be so hasty.

 

But it does make Floyd look bad on refusing the 14 days he once offered, just like it made Pac look bad for not accepting it the first time. It goes both ways. 14 days was the magic number Floyd was willing to give to make the fight happen. Now that Manny has done his part by accepting the offer, what Floyd does next will make or break the fight. Everyone's eye is on Floyd now.

BTW, sales have to be advertised as having expiration dates. If I'm not mistaken, I don't recall that there was an expiration date advertised on Floyd's offer.

 

this is all a load of bollocks from my point of view. this fight will happen no matter what within the next 18 months mark my words. from both sides they are just promoting the fight, and this steroid bollocks is getting more publicity (a crying shame for the sport i know). it pisses me off but just my opinion

 

I will lose a lot of respect for Floyd if he doesn't accept the 14 day window. Manny is ready to do his part and concede the 14 days so it's time to make the fight happen.

 

What you fail to mention is that Floyd immediately announced that the offer was no longer valid when Team Pac spat on his shoes and walked away! It hardly makes Floyd look bad if he doesn't accept the 14 day offer because he doubled Pac's last PPV revenue with his fight against Shane and that gives Floyd negotiation leverage. The article about Floyd becoming stern with his offer was even posted on ESB. How do people miss that? Could be willful ignorance; I'm not sure.

Bringing up an expiration date becomes a moot point when Floyd clearly stated that the offer became null and void. Needless to say Pac and his team ignores this and makes an attempt to spoil Floyd's reputation by bringing up the 14 day crap. But those who can see behind the curtain can tell Pac and his team are playing mind games. I guess I don't blame them for trying to land a great deal. But if they really want the fight and gain some solid credibility, accept the offer with NO cutoff date. Grow a pair. You walked away from a decent offer the first time. And now you can't expect things to smell like roses the second time around because you let Floyd gain leverage. It was either take the fight back in March and have a level playing field or.....buy some time extra time to prepare yourself for a hard fight and get raped at the negotiation table. Choose your poison.

directly after the mosley fight, during the post-fight interview floyd said "No OSDT = No fight"

so pac coming out 3 weeks later saying ok to 14 days is pointless, IMO
