Roberto Duran - The guy had trouble with movers, and never had a great mover at lightweight to expose his weaknesses. Later he lost easily against fast fighters like Leonard and Benitez and Hearns, which people excuse saying he was little, not realizing that he fought at 154 before Benitez and Hearns ever did.

    GTFO with that ***** ****!:fire:fire:fire

Zab was undisputed at one time. Yeah he got canned by Zoo, split open by Clottey, and low-blowed to death by Cottoe. But he gets seriously underrated if you ask me. Put him in the ring with a lot of these 140 lb. guys and he can still give them serious problems.

Pernell and Duran are overrated not on what they accomplished or their skills, this mythical image they have is rediculous, both guys had flaws and the nuthuggers act like they dont, and they even ignor their loses, and crucify others for their loses, and let them slide on theirs.

By the time Duran fought those 2,he was over 30 and had over 70 fights at that point in his career, more than Tommy and Benitez had in their whole careers. He started his career at 119,fought at feather, junior light and peaked at 133-140 fighting 62 times before he moved up to welter. He was shorter hadshorter reach and had a smaller chest than any of the aforementioned 3,so yes,he was smaller. And if you are going to try to convince anyone that he was close to prime when he moved up to 154,you'd be wrong. When Benitez fought Palomino,he went life and death with him, winning a split decision in Puerto Rico in 15.In his next fight,Palomino was beaten far more convincingly against Duran at 147.

According to pure logic, this is so true. We're all guilty of being so subjective,it's ridiculous.

    Roberto Duran is uniquely overrated.

As proven on a poll i made in the classic, his clear loss to Hagler in which he was outclassed, was voted a better victory and legacy builder tha any and all of Mayweather's top wins.

His incredibly close SD win over Barkley(who lost a 3rd of his total fights),suggests that he would KO Nigel Benn(who KOed Barkley in rd 1) at MW

Hypothetical matchups see him unbeatable at LW, and SSJ1 Montreal Duran being unbeatable at WW. Despite losing to every single A class opponent he ever fought.

Excuses for 16 losses from nuthuggers range from, not training, past prime ofc, unmotivated, sore shoulder, fixing the fight himself and placing a bet on Lawlor, needing a poo and cramp..

Hearns would have stretched him out at 147 to,he just doesent match up well with him at any weight, for the most part Benitez style was built to beat him as well different and not as dramatic as Hearns, but affective enough to beat him 9 out of 10 times.
