Vazquez vs. Marquez & Mares vs. Perez RBR

Cant believe the commentators even suggested a 5th fight. I give my props to Marquez, but Vazquez cannot continue on, it took one punch to open his cut!

 

I think one eye was, and the other was opened back up from a punch.

 

That is exactly why this fight happened. Retirement money.

 

I would have liked to see him finish the round, then have a chance for the fight to be called on cuts.

It's clear Izzy couldn't see a damn thing.. the cuts ended the fights as much as Marquez did.

Disappointing.

 

Marquez admits he was targeting the scar tissue on the eyes (though Jim Grey kind of led him with the phrasing of his question, through the interpreter). Distasteful but intelligent.

 

i hope marquez now goes on to **** juanmaricon up

 

i kind of feel bad for everyone that paid money to see this live....3 rounds and out due to major cuts

 

They did get to see Mares-Perez...probably worth admission price...

Distasteful? Their supposed to hurt each other. Cuts were gonna open no matter what. Marquez has a lot more left at this point.

Smaller? It looks a good 15% wider than his eyebrow, to me.

 

Marquez appeared superb and a lot fresher than his opponent, despite being 3 years older.

Izzy on the other hand looked like an aging fighter with a lot of problems and a damaged face. Been in too many wars I guess. Heart alone can't carry him from now on.
