Roy Jones Jr is one of my favorites,

But he is defiantly overated, he one of the best ever and an all great, but hes not the unbeatable best Hd 2 Hd fighter ever that people make him out to be.

Those periods of inactivity kinda hurt him. In the 90s RJJ arguably has a resume as good or better.

the fact that the guy was a former lightweight KING and could even go 15 rounds with duran let alone beat a guy like iran barkley who is 6 foot 2 natural middleweight is amazing..... obviously no idea what youre talking about.......and obviously a guy who youtubes his boxing history

I happen to agree with you about Hearns, although I don't think it would have been as quick(2 rounds, whew! And it just as easily could have been over in the 1st.).However,concerning Benitez and Duran,if you watch both fights (RD v CP and RD v WB),you'll see a much sharper Duran against Palomino.

But to be fair, Durans victory over Iran Barkley was a great win.
Barkley was much better than his record indicates. After all, he was a three division champ (or belt-holder). No matter how, you have at least to be a good fighter to do that. He was also a very big, tall and strong MW (remember he finished his career as a HW), and I think it's fascinating that a former LW in Duran, who was past his prime already, can hold his own and beat a so much bigger opponent (who was at his peak at that).
Barkleys first round KO loss to Nigel Benn has to be put into perspective too - it wasn't Benn just entering the ring and smoking Barkley. These two went at each other swinging right from the opening bell and had an all-out war. Benn was on the verge of getting knocked out himself but managed to come back and KO Barkley.

I don't think Duran is overrated. He lost some of his most important fights but a 103-16 record in 7 weight divisions doesn't lie.

and how , the youngest heavyweight champ in history is the most overrated boxer ever.

    Of recent times :

    Judah - No heart

Malignaggi - Supposed slickster who couldnt dodge a punch if his life depended on it

Juan Diaz - Mid level plodder , who couldn't be arsed training

I hate to say this but ..........
Haye at HW - Unless he does something dramatic shortly this'll be one of the most dissapointing career moves of all time
