Chagaev would be haye's 1st real fight at heayweight

I think Haye would fight chageav next. But i'm still not convinced on who would win. Chageav may not have alot of power, but i believe he's more than capable of stopping Haye. Along with the fact he's a durable tough opponent, with plenty of skill that could take Haye into deep water into the later stages of a fight...

 

I think Chagaev could use one more fight back before fighting Haye. It looked to me that he could improve some of his tools with one more tuneup. I thinking about someone like Timur Ibragimov or Cedric Boswell.

 

Chagaev is washup as much if not more than Ruiz was, Haye would KO him. I'd rather see Haye vs Adamek, if he isn't going to face a Klit next.

Haye would have a hard time dealing with that constant pressure and Chagaev's speed. The guy is a very skilled boxer.

I venture to say Haye would probably manage to win, but he'd be tested like never before in the process.

yeah chagev better fight for this garbage belt...lord knows what happened to him when he tried to fight for the IBF and WBO versions.....how bout a shot at a green belt? he would rather go for the WBA members only title.....where they only allow about 6 fighters to fight for it every 10 years

 

Only i thought chagaev didnt look that good last night? I dont think he's as good as he used to be, still he has a big chance to beat Haye tho

 

Well, you probably have only seen him against Klitschko before. Chagaev would have been a contender in every era.

Chagaev built his reputation as a puncher by knocking out bums, once he stepped up, his KO-power suddenly was gone.

 

He got inside whenever he went forward, good punch accuracy, hard to hit cleanly, good head movement. Apart from perhaps his punch output I didn't see much to fault last night

He is slower, his workrate dropped, he is easier to hit, he is more plodding, it seems he is a bit gunshy. If you can´t see this you must be blind.

 

Yeah his low workate is what got me worried d most, it was really frustrating at times, Just like in the Drummond and wlad fights, (altho its usually Wlad who makes his oponnent throw less thats obvious) But it was his 3rd fight in a row where he doesnt let his hands go often. I really thought he would Go on Meehan and knock him out in the middle rounds, but this fight was somewhat competetive.

 

Ok, then watch the Ruiz fight again - what a display of workrate and excellent footwork. Weren't you the one who said that if you question the historic evidence of Jesus you might as well go on and question (well documented) people like Alexander the Great and Caesar? Anywho, in order for Chagaev to have deteriorated badly and today still be a top 10 fighter, he must have been something special in his "prime" - which he clearly wasn't.

I never stated that Chagaev was something special. He is badly deteriorated, you must be blind if you can´t see that. And he is still Top10. That has nothing to do with him beeing special but with the hw division beeing so weak.

Your reading comprehension relly sucks. I wrote he was "more plodding" that indicates that he plodded in the past too but does it even more now. Got it now? And yeah, watch the Ruiz fight. His workrate was higher especially with his right hand, he also showed better defence, a bit more power, faster hands, better punch anticipation ... need I to go on.
