just because shane mosley destroyed margarito, doesnt mean pacman can do the same thing...thats just dumb to assume he could duplicate that....ask ricardo mayorga...who beat forrest twice who beat shane twice who got his ass kicked my shane.....theres your mathematical logic out the window :deal
a marg fight would be a disgrace the guy is made to order for manny. A flat footed target right there in front of you manny laps those guys up
margo is an easy win for pac. he's ju*st too slow & has no movement. if floyd & pac don't fight, this is the fight we'll see. he won't fight martinez or williams. maybe he'll go back down to jr ww, but I doubt he wants to go back down.
Was just watching this Dwyer guy from Gamblers Advisory and he gives a very good theory on why Manny might fight AM. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkrStmHgn3g&playnext_from=TL&videos=qxLrOcjgImo&feature=sub[/ame] EDIT: ****, just noticed there's a thread on this. my bad.
I don't think he really care's because his next fight will be another hugh pay day and he's made so much money and plus he's got a new job, it's not like life is going to end even if he lost his next fight and quite he will still be jumping for joy. And no way Margarito beats pac man, pac move's around to fast and will keep Margarito off balance just like coto and the rest of them.
If Margarito can't attain a license to fight in the States then he's disqualified from the conversation. Pac however can still fight Berto, JMM, or Bradley if a fight against Floyd fails to materialize. Those are 3 fights that would garner appeal whilst being winnable fights for Pac. He's far from screwed.
The easier fight for him out of any of them, would be Margarito. Paul height and reach would be a factor, Floyds speed, foot work and defense will be to much for him, and Martinez for the same reasons as Floyd (minus the defense) Magarito has height and reach, but don't know how to use it. His foot work is weak and he gets hit with flush shots to easy, giving Pac as many chances as he need to KO him.
He's benefited from carefully selected opponents and questionable decisions against Marquez. Threads about how great Pacroid is and how unreal talented he is will dry up after Floyd beats the dog **** out of him.
not unless floyd ducks him again. http://www.boxingnews24.com/2010/05...l-the-way-up-to-the-fight”-for-pacquiao-bout/
I'd like to see Arum put Margacheato in there with Floyd. Mayweather vs Margo= Mayweather/Gatti pt 2.
That is the bottomline... Unless they decide to make the fight outside the states. To the people saying a Vs. Margarito fight would be easy...lol Not for Pac's style of fight.
Roach and Pac know the only fight left that's worth taking is Floyd. Arum can spout all the **** he wants about Margarito but at this point, the talk of cut-off dates and the mother-approved one-last-fight reveals he's nothing but a severe backup plan as they await for negotiations to attempt to be made for the biggest fight in decades. Oh, and Pacquiao is hardly screwed. Being faced with tough opposition kind of comes with the success and title of #1 pound for pound and a building ATG reputation.
