This is one hell of a bout that I couldn't predict. While Manny is likely to out box him, I could see Margo sneeking in brass knuckle dusters and busting his fat head wide open. See what he did to Cotto, his face only appeared like that late on in the fight when Marg started pressuring him against the rope... Marg has power, and a chin!
Dwyer is all about the gambling, I find him totally objective throughout his videos, even if I disagree with him. I think at this stage, a big, slowish man landing a lot on Pac's body would be very, very difficult and unlikely. But I don't think the winner of the fight is predetermined. Margo starts at a disadvantage though because I highly doubt Pac going up any more weight and I don't think Margo, at his age and size is going to easily make 147 again.
Margo has a great shot at being Pacquiao if he can back Pacquiao up and force him to fight on the inside. Of course all that depends on how well Margo can handle Manny's speed.
Why is that? Didn't he fight Margo's closely contested former opponent Joshua Clottey at 147? Are you saying that because Pacquiao fought Cotto at 145 and Clottey at 147, he'd fight Margarito at 142-143? I don't see the logic there.
Drained DLH, catchweight against Cotto, immediately called for a catchweight when the Mayweather fight was talked about. Roach has spoken about him fighting a Junior Middleweight at a catchweight. Pac likes to fight at catchweights. Its very logical to speculate that if a Margarito match was being made he would want a catchweight.
Pac is way to fast for margarito!! Margo likes to back his opponent up against ropes and land his punches. That would not happen agains Pac.He moves in and out,and have a lot of head movements.Margarito would not be able to land combinations on Pac.Pac Vs. Margo would be much like the pac-clottey fight IMO.With Margarito landing more punches. But it would be nice to watch Margo get beat up... But offcourse i dont think margarito should ever have such a big payday at all!!!
It's reasonable to assume that after fighting Clottey at 147 he would want Margarito at 142-143? I don't see how that's a reasonable speculation at all, really, Joe. Let alone to speculate it being lighter than his only other catch weight agreement with Cotto.
SO his point is Margarito will win because Pacquaio doesn't hit hard enough and can't box? I disagree on both points. He can school Marg if he can't knock him out
