This is the "easy" way out, "Everyone says to fight a Welterweight so I'm fighting Berto". If anything he should fight Cotto, Mosley or Williams.
I don't think he would KO him, Floyd doesn't have the power or desire to KO Berto. I'm not saying it's impossible, just very unlikely. After the fight the other night I feel like Floyd would rather just toy with his opponent and make him look bad than KO him, because there is no reason he shouldn't have KO'd Marquez he just didn't feel like it.
Well, it's Berto's aggression that will create extra power when PBF counters. Berto was stunned a couple of times by feather fisted Forbes. Berto has no defense and is a strict head hunter. He'll just run right into PBF's counter shots. But obviously, a UD is more likely.
Berto Vs Mayweather is a fight that should be discussed. Berto mentioned Cotto, Mosley , and Pac as potential next fights, but why no Mayweather ???? Berto has improved , and I think his speed, power and aggression could give Mayweather some problems.
Berto is getting a lot of **** on this board. People make it sound like he's useless or something. I understand the reasons behind it, but come on. The guy's a top notch welterweight. That said, Mayweather would get one of the easiest decisions of his life, if those two were to meet right now.
Im all in if this fight happens. This would be a great tune up for Floyd. He put on a clinic and be amped to face Manny. He would get a little edge and shut up people that he is ducking anybody.
