Who cares, Corley used it and it was effective until Floyd overpowered him, than it was just a beatdown for the rest of the fight.

Agreed, Roach's southpaw not knowing how to solve the hand alignment issues to effectively use the jab doesn't mean the jab is useless for every southpaw.:good

Did he shoulder roll against Marquez? I think he can just stay out side and use his reach and the illegal elbow when Pac try to come inside. But Roach is talking stupid about hitting and running the fight is way to personal now for Pac not to wanna trade.

He did some shoulder rolling against Marquez. Floyd beats pac down on the inside. It's mid-range that he has to watch out for. Pac is no inside fighter.

Floyd uses the high guard and philly against south paws.....which often throws the fighters off because he switches up throughout the fight giving different looks.

still its a very intriguing fight....i still think Pac may hurt Floyd early simply because Floyd will have to get used to that speed and rhthym Pac has and hopefuly Floyd can weather the storm...if he does...Pac is in for big trouble the rest of the fight.

what i love about this fight more than most may fights is we have a fighter who will keep up with mays conditioning this time, unlike his main threats DLH and SSM. pacs speed and combos is going to something that may will never solve, as pac says himself that he sometimes doesnt know what hes going to throw. he goes with the flow. may might adapt to a few things tho for sure, but the offensive skills of pac plus his conditioning are gonna pose a threat, right until the last minute of round 12.

i agree...i feel Floyd will have to control this fight almost to a T because Manny is so explosive and at anypoint he can throw a bomb and change the whole fight....thats the one thing i worry about....i dont see Manny out thinking Floyd and he doesnt have the tools to beat Floyd boxing either...however what he does have is heart and will keep himself in the mix the whole fight and all it takes is one to turn the fight and if any fighter can do it...ITS PAC.

yeah man. i wanna put this out there tho: pac will outpoint may. the stoppage isnt necessary. pac is gonna throw so many shots, some clean some brushing, but they will score. may will hit him too. it will be tight but the output and variety will do it. in the judah fight, may only threw shots when judah stopped punching, which pac will do very little of. and then if he hurts may in any round, that round will probably be scored in his favour also. plus the possibilities of knockdowns. we'll see, but im pretty sure pac controls the rounds in the judges eyes with output, variety and aggression.

Pac's angles and explosiveness are definatley something that is difficult to contend with - But if Clottey can keep him out for 12 rounds, so can Floyd.

for sure. but it will go from an average of 85 punches per round to around 7O/65. mays will stay at 4O. so however u look at it, pac will have far more output in this fight.

He threw an average of only 68 punchers per round vs Cotto, Hatton, and DLH. Floyd is going to cut his punch output to lower than just 65.

Thanks for calling everyone out (who uses this term). I have been thinking were the hell did they get this term "philly shell" defense. The term is just plain ridiculous.

People pretty much knew that it doesn't work against a southpaw, the physics are different which is why he uses a high guard against them.
