    He survived because :

    A: he was on pain killers that are illegal, numbing his pain receptors

    B: The ref should have stopped it, or at least broken Mayweather from Mosley and not allowed him to hold for 17 secs

    C: Mosley was old, lost power and gassed

    We have to remember, Castillo beat and drew with him, Martin Castillo beat him twice, ODLH beat him, as did Judah.
