Jem Mace is an interesting guess---but you do not club someone with mace.

    I still don't like riddles!

I had a busy weekend, as my Step son was married on Saturday and yesterday I MC'ed the 41st AAIB Awards dinner in Elmsford, New York. I had the pleasure of introducing Iran Barkley, Leon Spinks, Emile Griffith, Burt Sugar, Julie & Harold Lederman, Steve Smoger, Lou Marciano, Tom Kaczmarck, Benji Esteves, Melvina Lathan & Steve Weisfeld among others.

The founders of the AAIB, were Rocky Marciano and a guy that is well into his 90's, Steve Acunto. Steve asked me to be the MC But he had to miss his 1st AAIB affair ever because he fell and broke his hip. Hopefully he will have a full recovery.

A mace was a heavy metal spiked club, used in Englkand before the advent of firearms..
Spray mace is a recent discovery...

    My error. Thank you.

I actually had heard of the old swinging mace that knights used, but it completely slipped my mind.
