Mares robbed !!!!!!

The one thing I can't see is a win for Perez, but I can see how people could stretch for a draw, most of Mares rounds were definite as Freddy says, but giving away a few rounds and mixing it up a few rounds ended with quite a few close rounds that could've gone either way.

Rematch anyone? I see people talking about Mares fighting Montiel, I say Mares fights Perez next, again.

 

They showed the press row had it mostly a draw after the fight.:?

 

This is true...it was a great fight....very close, but it looks like Mares will have a chance to try to win the next fight and leave NO question as to who the winner is or who the better fighter is.

 

For me NO....I thought Perez won. Clearly but it was still close. Perez used the middle rounds to shift the tides in his favor then Mares got on it and took control late.

So for me I think Mares won.....as do most who had a winner that night. I haven't seen anyone say Perez won....but I've seen a lot say it was a draw.

Mares will be back and hopefully Perez will face him again. Next time those middle rounds won't look like that. Mares proved one thing....he's a better boxer....maybe a little green but with this "DRAW" comes experience and he'll rebound better.

At least they didn't give the fight to Perez as the Winner...that would have been a lot worse. I think most saw the fight as a Draw where Mares was clearly the better boxer.

Reminds me a little of the JLC vs May fight. I actually gave the fight slightly to Floyd but didn't question those who felt Castillo won. But I see the rematch playing out like the Floyd vs JLC rematch.....a one sided victory for the better boxer in Mares.

 

I scored the fight for Mares but it was no robbery.

 

For those who had a winner.....EVERYONE had Mares as the winner which says a lot. But I agree....it was very close and I think had they given Perez the "W" people who are call this one a robbery might be more reasonable.

 

My bad....I'm jsut saying.....there are similarities with how the fight played out. Not that they were comparable in excitiment.

That's reasonable.......I gave a majority of the middle rounds to Perez b/c he was the champion and based on how he was able to do A LOT better than the earlier rounds where Mares was pretty much dominating. Which could be the reason for why people gave the mid rounds to Perez.....
