Would Ike Ibeabuchi give Ali a harder fight than Foreman/Liston/Frazier/Norton did?

How would Ike's effort compare to that of those mentioned in the thread title?

No chance. Ike couldnt handle Kirk Johnsons movement, hows he going to handle Ali's?

Good thread..excellent question..Ike had greater stamina than Foreman, more power and volume than Norton, natural advantages in height and reach over Frazier, and was faster than Liston..I think he would have given Ali some problems, I'll say for starters..I'll have to give it some more thought and opine in another post.

    Nah
Ike isn't going the distance and he'll get stopped within 7 rounds.

Ike went the distance and displayed his chin and stamina against Tua...how then was Ali going to knock him out? I didn't say Ali wouldn't beat Ike, but knock him out? Lesser men than the Nigerian were able to go the distance with Ali and avoid being decked.

Don't go to the other extreme and underrate him though.

I don´t underrate him, he just isn´t on the class of atgs. Ali, Frazier and Foreman would beat the **** out of him. He probably beats Norton though but then Norton is no atg.

Frazier beats the **** out of Ike Ibeubuchi? you sure about that? Big powerful sluggers were not frazier's cup of tea.

Foreman could have also had a lot of trouble with Ike.

I think the best possible prediction would be Ali by unanimous decision, with perhaps a brief moment of trouble here and there.... That's really about as complicated as this thread needs to get.

Yeah, I don´t think Ibeabuchi was that good. Tua wasn´t either. Both are very overrated imo. Decent contenders but nothing more.

But ike went toe to toe with tua!!!! Nobody can do that except jeff wooden but hez got the brain damage like ike! Ike has power with two hands, more skillz than holyfield, and more strenthz than PRIME tyson, throws more punches than anybody ever except for vitali. ike took tua's best shots, ali got dropped by frazier and some cruiser white clubfighter, his glass jaw gets smashed, Ike KO 2

No. Ali would taunt Ike into a mental institution before the fight even started. Even if they did get in the ring, Ali is too slick and evasive, he'd jab Ike to death and probably get a TKO. Ali was made for beating big and powerful but crude sluggers, and he beat skilled big guys like Liston and Foreman.

Ike seems to be stylewise a composite of the various foes of Ali, and would have been a formidable opponent..add to that the x-factor concerning Ike's insanity, which could have manifested itself in battle vs Ali...like not getting psyched out like so many of Ali's opponents, maybe a refusal to get discouraged, an imperviousness to pain..hell, he took what Tua dished out, so what were Ali's pittypat punches? Ike's being sold short here..I guess it's a bit of "out of sight, out of mind"...

Ike doesn't have the fluidity movement or speed to compete or beat Ali. Sometimes I think people forget not just the movement, or reflexes but the upper-body movement Ali had to evade punches. That famous Terrel gif isn't just for show.
