lol at the risk of sounding like an even bigger ****, I'll try and explain. It's just a type of muscle fibre. Muscles are made up of slow twitch as well as fast/medium twitch fibres. The more fast twitch fibres you have the bigger your potential for being good at exercises involving strength or power (because these fibres contract much quicker), but your enduance is compromised (because these fibres fatigue quicker). and the more slow twitch muscles you have, the bigger your potential for being good at endurance but your strength and power is compromised. The theory goes that Haye has **** stamina because he has too many fast twitch fibres which gives him great power and not enough slow twitch fibres that can give him endurance. I think it was Nicky Piper or Watt who said that Haye is just not built for stamina even if he works hard at it. Apparently sprinters were found to have around 80% fast twitch muscle fibres and Marathon runners 80% slow twitch. Who knows, but yeah, I still don't know what the **** a check hook is. Also, can someone tell me what the **** "genuine pace" is? I keep hearing **** like "Theo Walcott has genuine pace" and "Steve Harmison has genuine pace". What the **** is non genuine pace then?
i dont know man, i was reading ray arcel say that great champions were born with potential to be great and that it has to be nurtured, but the seed HAS to be there. same with anything else you care to mention. some are just blessed with that magic that others are not. i'm not saying that there are no exceptions but the majority of the time i think this is so. another example is the art world, you HAVE to have creative talent, you cant learn to have talent it is god given? IMO. i could sit under a tree with my guitar for the rest of my days.....i'm never going to be jimi hendrix. i might learn the notes but that is all.
Yeah I used to think this whole "God given talent" thing was BS but now I realise that it's true. Hard work is required and goes a long way but there is such a thing as natural talent. We don't start off equal.
I'm not saying that it's useless people striving and dedicating themselves to their dreams but the legends have all got gifts that cant be taught. when mayweather says boxing is purely about skills that is very misleading. it is such a brutal buisness that skills will get you so far but genetic blessings are needed to reach the pinnacle, duran didnt learn to have hands of stone he was born with them. leonards reflexes and handspeed were not learnt, they were developed from the raw material that he was born with etc etc
Strength events. Blacks actually have a narrower pelvic bone, which causes a more efficient stride in running. Whites tend to have a thicker bone structure, thus giving them an advantage in strength events, ie weightlifting and gymnastics.

FAST twitch fibres are explosive and fatigue quicker due to lactic acid buildup, its best to have a good mixture of fibre and proper training can assist this. Id much prefer to have fast twitch and train stamina than be other way round especially where speed is key, such as punching
i think someone should conduct a proper scientific study and publish the results. sports specific physical differences between the races of man, i would read it with great interest, theres definitely something in it.
