Absolutely. Pac's offense shuts down completely when he's moving backwards. Pac can't throw punches with power on his back foot. That's why Freddie is talking about Floyd's footwork ... he wants Floyd to fight backing up.

he wont just press forward gander...hell mix it up ...he'll box off his front foot pressing forward on occassion..at other times hell box on his back foot..running as u call it...

Again..ur boy pac is awesome..arguably the greatest of this era...but technically he is not as polished and it will play into floyd controlling the tempo of this fight

LMFAO..AND YES ITS AN AWESOME STRATEGY ACTUALLY...SEE THIS IS WHY I CAN TELL U DONT KNOW "TECHNICAL BOXING"

Who cares what he said? So if you feel a guy has no skills then it is ok for him to cheat? No.

You don't "play" boxing. Every fight is a possible life or death affair. And even if you don't die your career trajectory can be severely altered. (See Cotto)

Any fighter that wants reasonable testing should be humored. That is if the other guy is clean.

Sorry son. Your ignorance is shining brightly.

I didn't say his footwork was better technically but his feet is faster/more agile. His footwork confuses everybody, and it'll throw Floyd off as well. Manny is not going to be a flat-footed target. He's going to be moving consistently and feinting in and out with punches.

Clottey uses that defense with brilliant effectiveness. I think FMJ's high guard is a few levels below Clottey's, but his offense is miles better.

why doesn't floyd fight out of the high guard more often?

when he uses it he looks better and puts some serious hurt on his opponents (mosley/judah).

So Floyd is going to go head to head with Pac? Considering the man's workrate I can't say that's a great idea. I think he would benefit from his usual style more. Pac makes mistakes, it is true that he isn't a perfect boxer. Mayweather's victory depends on how consistently and how well he can capitalize on them, which he's typically good at:good

What relevance? :yep Clottey probably had 15-18 pounds on Pac.

    Somehow this works for you:

Pac: 12 rounds + Clottey: 0 rounds = Floyd win :huh

Mayweather stiff jab is the key to this fight , Manny can do nothing about this weapon.

1:42 - Pac's planted. Lands a counter. He's already in position, not on his back foot.
