Dude I look at boxing and have always said Pac has a chance. This is boxing.

I only rip morons. Charlie and Ph|lla say reasonable stuff. I can discuss BOXING with them and agree to disagree. All that "scared", "crack head", "woman beater", "his fans are (race BS)", "he won't cheat because he is Asian and Asians believe...", etc... crap gets me to bomb on you. Let's talk boxing.

Your sorry avatar is a perfect example of the high school chick crap that separates Pac fans from *******s.

(And quite claiming "devil". You probably weren't even man enough to go Marine regs.)

You're the only Pac fan who knows what the hell he's talking about. See my earlier post re: this.

Pac is dangerous. The fight hinges on whether Pac can routinely land heavy punches. If Pac figures out Floyd's defense or can hurt him with a punch Floyd doesn't see, he has a better than average chance. But I've seen Floyd counter everything Pac is good at and seen Pac get hit everything Floyd is GREAT at.

That being said, it's still the fight of the century. I want to see if I'm right.

Regardless, it was defensive boxing and it was done from a retreating position from a fighter who is not a counterpuncher by nature. Even if it was beaten into Pac by training, that should be something you praise! The fact that he prepared himself like that beforehand suggests that Pac is not as one-dimensional as a great deal of people make him out to be, it suggests adapability.

What makes you think that Floyd will somehow be able to initiate his inside game on Pac so well? Inside fighting implies that Floyd will be willing to trade punches with Pac to some degree at close and middle range, and no matter how you slice it that is a bad decision on Mayweather's part. This whole manny fighting going backward argument is stupid in the first place because it somehow suggests that floyd is going to somehow pressure pac into fighting off his back foot, to somehow abandon his style for something else.

What about his right hook? That's the kind of thing Floyd better be sure to avoid walking in to if he's gonna walk Pacquiao down like you think he should.

Pacquiao's offense shuts down when he's on the back foot? I really don't think so man.

I agree. We will see a great battle of foot placement and straight rear hands.

I am interested to see if Pac will work the body much like he did with Clottey. I swear Mosley's body attack was basically non existent. (Now I say this realizing that if every time you hit a guy in the body he belts you in the face you may "change plans".)

PHILLA has a touch of nuthugger in him. But Charlie at least acknowledges that Pac is facing a stud.

The real question is "how hard does Pac really hit?" If he can hurt Floyd or break him down, he can beat him. But, after seeing Floyd shake off two of Shane's best right hands, it's tough for me to think Pac has the power to hurt Floyd. Possible but not probable.

lmfao..again...he is not gonna "throw floyd off"..floyd is a master with footwork and not letting his opponents get angles.....wow...again...floyd mayweather jr has the superior footwork over pacquiao..no way in hell will he be able to do what your talking about him doing...

Again..to beat floyd u gotta make him fight...what your sayin is that pac will be able to control the footwork...just that in itself shows me u dont know much about technical boxing..

Than u bring up "pac getting in and out"..ok..thats all nice...but how? What is he gonna do with his footwork to do that? Lol...trust it wont be anything like what your saying..

This fight will be slow paced with floyd boxing his way to a wide ud or late stoppage..u said he would throw floyd off with his footwork..but again..thats a technical move right there...if anything its gonna be the other way around....

Floyd will throw manny off by coming forward at times and boxing (running) on his back foot at times

Roach saying Mayweather got him more than normal, and his legs have gone??
He got hit about twice, and thats because he elected to stay in range. He walked the most powerful 147 fighter around down, and rendered him totally impotent as an opponent.
He will beat the **** out of Pac, and Pac's camp know it.

Honestly man, looking at the gifs and the fight, Cotto has HORRIBLE tells! Seems to me Pac knew exactly what was coming and would use speed and his natural smaller punching arc to beat Cotto to the punch. Maybe less reach in the right hands against the right opponent isn't so much of a disadvantage?

he'll use a high guard anyway.

I've said this before......The odds SHOULD show Floyd as the favorite and for good reason. Boxing is about styles and when we are dealing with two fighters with equal talent and ability, the style match up is even more important when predicting the outcome.

Not to say this is gonna be an easy fight to predict but logic would favor Floyd. And with is track record why go against the grain? The problem is PAC is also working with a very strong and consistant winning track record since being with Roach....so I can see why many are split on who the winner would be.

I have a gut feeling that Manny will some how some way bet the odds that favor Floyd at the moment. But I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd won his biggest fight of his career and answers A LOT of questions that he has unjustly had to defend himself against.

Bottom line....the fight answers all the frustrating questions we as boxing fans have to deal with regarding the two best P4P fighters in the sport. How great is it that two of the best fighters bar none....are fighting in the same weight class?

Fight of the century?? Not sure about that but definitly of the last 20 years or so.

Thats exactly how I see it myself...IMO I think Mosley hits harder ( as far as 1 punch power) and if Floyd was able to stomach that shot, I pretty sure he's going to be able to handle Pac's power.

Thats what some Pacman fans are neglecting here...Mosley had him stunned and Floyd was able to recover so fast should not be swept under the rug.

Also, if you look at Floyd and his past opponents, their punches has declined a bit...Just look at the #'s...So a high workrate is not the key against Mayweather.

Both of those are straight counters. Pac isn't in retreat or backing up.

The right hook was specifically for Cotto. It's a weapon in Pac's arsenal now but Floyd doesn't get hit with it. Pac's straight left is more of threat.

Dude, I can compile a vid that makes it look like Floyd gets his ass kicked every fight. Anyone who watches Pac fight can see that he has trouble launching his offense in retreat.

Because he was in close enough to be tagged and learned from round 2.
He only was using the shoulder roll when cornered, and even then it was to fire a shot and out.
