Would Ike Ibeabuchi give Ali a harder fight than Foreman/Liston/Frazier/Norton did?

No way Ike Beats Ali in his prime.
Frazier gave Ali HELL, I can never see Ike giving Ali that kind of trouble, Ali would stop Ike on his greatest night, he just can't hang in there with Ali. :-(
It does make sense because while Ali doesn't hit as hard as Tua he is faster and more skilled and has more punches to use against ike so I don't think Ike beats Ali and Ali demolishes him in the process :yep

Joe Frazier avoided all the big punchers in his own era, so why is it crazy to assume ike and tua cant beat him, cuz they contenders and he's an atg. That's the worst logic ever, if tua and frazier fought, i would bet money on tua, no way is frazier's swarming style gonna last against tua's flush clean punches.

Really because I think frazier would beat Tua. Frazier had a great chin despite getting sparked by Foreman, one of the hardest punchers of all time.
The only other times he got knocked down was by Bonaveana, and he wasn't as experienced at this point, you certainly can't hold it against him.
Plus, I think Frazier is faster and has better head movement, and much more stamina and better conditioning.
If I was gonna bet on Frazier vs Tua, I would bet on Frazier, Simply because of his conditoning and stamina.
Maybe Tua hits harder, but Frazier has other advantages imo.
Can you see Tua ever beating Ali:think?

You're not thinking..Ali wasn't a puncher, and I concede that Ali more than likely would have won..but by a decision NOT by a knockout. The often "chin-maligned" Joe Frazier wasn't decked in 3 bouts with Ali..for Pete's sake..KEN NORTON..the the midnight snack of every big puncher he ever fought wasn't decked in his 3 bouts with Ali..no friggin' way Ike gets decked or ko'ed. Like I said regarding Ibeabuchi, "out of sight-out of mind"...he's really being underrated by some of you guys. This is Ali idolatry taken to an extreme.

That's called styles, hes a swarmer so his style did well against a boxer. If he had such a great chin then why wasnt it tested against the heavy hitters of his era?

I guarantee you would pick frazier to beat tyson right, even though tyson is faster, stronger and hits harder.

I said he would stop him
    but not knock him out!
I never said he would get decked by Ali. But Ali did have pretty good power against williams.
I don't think it's far fetched to think he would stop him or floor him or something because anything can happen in boxing if you take a perfect one to the chin

he still took many many hard punches, weather they were heavy or not. He took some nasty shots from Ali that would knock down lots of people. If he can stand there and take shots he's gotta be a tough guy. He's got a good chin, even if he didn't face that many heavy punchers.
Nah, Tyson would probably beat Frazier, But if Frazier takes it far in the fight, he would win. Frazier would have to survive the early rounds, if he can't do that then he can't win the fight IMO.

You've gotta be kidding, right? You're comparing Ike Ibeabuchi to a second rate Cleveland Williams with a bullet still in him? When did Williams, even before he was shot, ever fight a guy comparable to David Tua, take everything from him and WIN?

Frazier was decked twice by Oscar Bonavena and Ali fails to deck him, even a blind Frazier in fight #3, in 3 fights..and Ibeabuchi takes EVERYTHING from a prime Tua (a bigger puncher then even Bonavena) and WINS the fight...and you're saying that Ali would tko him?????

    you misundestood me.
I'm just saying that Ali on this night had pretty good power and might be able to stop Tua.
How is that so far fetched?
I didn't compare anyone. And it's possible for anyone to get floored, believe it or not.
When Did I compare him? ALL I said was that Ali had good power against Williams and it's possible for him to stop Tua or Ike. That's not a crime.

Ali was shot at this time, very slow compared to his old self imo. Yes, a 75' Ali wouldn't tko Ibeabuchi, but a 66 Ali would, and that's my opinion.
Yes, I think a primed 66' Ali would TKO Ibeabuchi, that doesn't mean knock out though. I just think he will stop him eventually. It's my opinion. Get over it.
Anyway, isn't a win a win? Weather he TKOs him or desicions him is the same to me, I just think that he would eventually break down Ibeabuchi. I guess we'll never know what would happen but I just know Ali would win this fight.

Your opinion.."get over it"?..This forum is all about presenting differing opinions and arguing about them..don't be so sensitive about it. Believe me, I haven't eviscerated you like some other folks in this forum would. When you state an opinion, and it sounds absurd, or at the very least illogical, expect to be hammered..it's the nature of the beast on any forum.

how is it illogical to think Ali would stop Ike ibeabuchi
I didn't say he would get knocked the **** out or anything like that, just stooped. espescially when it's the greatest HW of all time doing it. I don't think it's a bad opinion, I think he would at least get the W, if it's a TKO victory or UD.

Honestly, I don“t think Tua or Ibeabuchi rank above Cleveleand Williams.

Ok, so that's your opinion. We'll just have to agree to disagree on it. How's that for a civilized response?
