Roach: The shoulder roll will not work against a southpaw.

The first shot was vicious and he was already hurt...but that 2nd shot was even more destructive, yet Floyd still stayed cool under that kind of pressure. What impressed me was the fact that Floyd ate a great shot....got hurt and then ate an even harder shot yet never touched the canvas and was able to recoup. He's got a good Chin....I don't see a KO. he may be hurt by Manny but I don't see Manny being able to win by early stoppage.

 

Don't agree. Floyd should at least attempt to get Pac to do something he doesn't do very well. Floyd showed how to neutralize aggression with SSM... MOVE FORWARD. Pac isn't used to having to initiate his offense in retreat. Getting Pac to back up will also rob him of some of his power. Pac is a hurricane coming forward, but less than an average fighter moving backward.

 

Id bet an awful lot of cash on Floyd. I dont think Pac wins if they fight 10 times.
I dont think Manny hears the final bell either.

 

I agree that both fighters are concerned about each other.

 

SSM - an orthodox fighter, not a southpaw. This is why you Floyd fans are way off in analyzing this fight. You don't understand how different it is to fight a southpaw. Everything is backwards (literally). Watch Mayweather - Mitchell, Corley, or Judah if your going to bring up any kind of point. Otherwise it's completely non-relevant.

The KO over Manny is reaching! Floyd couldn't KO JMM or Shane and you honestly think Manny will suffer a early stoppage at the hands of Floyd? Not that he Can't...but is that really likely.

 

This why I shouldn't even bother debating with you guys. You can't argue the points, but just repeat the same nonsense over and over- which basically amounts to: "Floyd is great, and you don't know **** otherwise."

I'm really starting to question whether this interview is for real or not. Roach who trained Toney (nobody shoulder rolls better than Toney) knows better than anyone that the shoulder roll defense will work against a southpaw.

 

Who's expecting an early stoppage? Floyd will break him down throughout the rounds and stop him late. Hopkins Trinidad for example.

 

lol.. The shoulder roll can work, but it's not nearly as effective. The shoulder roll is basically for shrugging off right hands from orthodox fighter. For a southpaw, who's power punch is generally the left hand, it's not very effective and can get you in trouble.

U keep basing everything off pac being a southpaw..ur off in analyzing the fight cuz u have a bias view...u only look at it from that standpoint..

I can just as easily come back and say "well floyd has a much easier time with small fighters" and therefore manny will be easy to deal with....

And i do know what its like to fight going backwards...floyd will do fine fighting off his front foot moving forward or fighting off his back foot...either way ur boi pac is at a huge disadvantage
