He needs to do this fight! i also want to see him vs haye much more but When povetkin is out then David tua and tomasz adamek could box an final eleminator for the wbo belt from wlad! i want tua to have a title shot! he deserves it!
If Povetkin is ducking Klitschko, why isnt he getting no where near as much harrassment as David Haye ( who is supposedly ducking, but he is just tired)? Huh! Thats what I would like to know!!!
Because Haye is a far bigger name and there is more interest in him fighting Wladimir Klitschko. Bit too obvious to even be answered but oh well
You don't already know? It's quite obvious. Haye has ran his mouth, for YEARS now, the t-shirts, confronting Wlad in public, etc... Povetkin hasn't done any of that.
Wladimir could fight Andrew Hartley and sell out a stadium. In my book thats a double standard because people don't like Haye. And Povetkin kinda gets a free pass.
Yeah it's not right that one boxer should get a pass and the other shouldn't but such is life. Although you really do have to factor in popularity in terms of the fight as well as Hayes extreme loudmouth personality and incessant bragging of how he's going to take on a Klitschko. I'm sure if Haye had came into the heavyweights claiming he was going to take 4-5 fights to acclimatise then take on Klitschko he wouldn't get half the flack he does now.. or the money !
It's not a double standard at all. Did Povetkin confront Wlad in public? Or wear shirts depicting him and his brother decapitated? No, Povetkin didn't do that....so naturally people will be easier on him ducking Wlad, than Haye. If Haye had kept his mouth shut, people (myself included) wouldn't care nearly as much that he is now ducking Wladimir. Very simple.
Really way different, Haye has been calling out the klitschko's for years has pulled out of two scheduled fights with them while talking **** up until the day Wlad called him out . Haye built his name by calling out Wlad and now that he has ducked him again he is reaping what he sewed.
David Haye has been trash-talking the Klitschko's for a couple of years now saying that he'll counter their "boring" styles and knock them TFO with his bombs. Povetkin has said that he's not ready to get KTFO by Wlad.
Do you really need an explanation for this? Are you that daft? Okay. The explanation is as follows: Povetkin actually earned a title shot, Haye did not. He talked his way to a title shot and then backed out three times. Haye fans don't seem to realise that most of the hype around Haye outside the UK is based on the promise that he would fight a Klitschko. By comparison, there is no hype around Povetkin. Does he deserve more criticism, sure. But he's not a title holder and, as I said, he actually earned his shot.
He needs to fight someone because these fights arent happening. Acctually David Haye is looking for a fight against Audley Harrison. So, that is why he cant fight Klitschko next.
