...but Floyd Sr. sure is. I think Sr. sees something in Pacquiao that chills him to his very bones, and it has a lot less to do with PEDs than he makes it out to be. Now, I don't doubt that Sr. may believe Pac is on something...but I also think that in Pacquiao, he just sees something special...dangerous...a threat to his flesh and blood, and his mind can't fathom how something can be that special without the help of drugs... ...he might be wrong! Floyd Jr. may handle Pacquiao as easily as he handled Gatti, but one thing is certain - Floyd Sr. definitely doesn't think so! Sr. sees Pacquiao a threat - a threat to his son's legacy, record, health - who knows what's going through his head, but it's obvious that he wants his son to have NO part of Pacquiao... ...is there anything wrong with that? Not really. As much beef as they have had, it's obvious he still cares about his son. He played the over-protective father role before, in demanding his son never get into the ring with another southpaw again. Now, I don't know the whole story behind that, but he said it for a reason, and he is so adamant about his son NOT fighting Pacquiao for a reason... ...if drugs - and how someone who uses, or has used them could pose a threat to his boy were that much of an issue, he wouldn't have wanted his son to fight Mosley, and this OSDT business would have come up long ago from Jr.'s camp... ...how can anyone say that what he sees in Pacquiao is COMPLETELY based on the fact that he thinks Pac has used? He never mentioned drugs about anyone before he started spewing about Pac. What, did he have a sudden epiphany after Pacquiao beat Cotto? Please. To sum things up...I don't think Floyd Jr. is the least bit scared of Pacquiao, but his father is absolutely terrified of him. *to Floyd Jr.'s credit...notice that he hasn't been THAT adamant about the fact that he thinks Pac is on something...I think it's the classic case of a son desiring acceptance from his father, and he let his pops get into his head. As far as Roger's comments...was he really serious about the A Side meth thing? :huh
Lil Floyd will beat the breaks off Pacquiao. Sr. also said not too long ago that Mosley was a very dangerous fight and he want Jr. to have a couple of tuneups before fighting him. We all saw what happened in that fight.
I actually agree with this, the fight was gonna happen until Floyd Sr and Feather Fisted Paulie started flinging unfounded accusations of Steroid use. Floyd Jr is supremely confident that he can whoop Pac, its his father who has been stirring all kinds of BS to stop this fight. I think it goes back to the ODLH and Hatton fights, Sr had trained Oscar in the past, not that night though and he was in the corner when Hatton got destroyed, he along with Arum are the biggest obstacles in getting this fight done. BTW I favor Floyd to win, but he will NOT outclass Pac the way he did Gatti.
Maybe about a lot of things... but he knows his boxing. He called SSM like he was living in his head. Hell SSM even saw the 24/7 and STILL did exactly what FMS said! Crazy! :nut I bet an NFL defensive line coach could look at a group of DLB and EASILY tell who was on PEDs. Especially if he had seen them all play clean leading up to that season. Easily. Why is it so hard to stomach that maybe, just maybe, a man who dedicated his whole life to boxing can spot something that isn't right? :huh
Well I guess as soon as Pac gets over his fear of the USADA? Mayweather will get over his fear of Pac! :-( Quit using my style!
An allegory... My 10 year old niece can sing. Good. Very good. Her and some of the neighborhood girls would stage singing contests, and somehow, I would often get stuck as the judge. I never had to lie...my niece was always better than ALL of them. But one day, a new girl moved in, and I heard her sing, and was blown away. This girl's vocals were amazing, like on a teen pop sensation level. My niece wanted to have a singing contest with her, but due to her fragile mindset, and sensitivity - coupled with the fact that I'm usually brutally honest - I didn't want my niece to have the contest with the girl who had the obviously superior singing voice. My excuse? "She has probably been taking singing lessons her entire life."
Roger's not. I hope to **** Roger's the one training Floyd for this fight. Floyd Sr. is a desastor waiting to happen.
Come on Tone? You forgot... The little girl was a great singer, but she always got into certain pitches where her voice cracked, forgot to breath at portions of the song that it was critical to have wind, and generally was hit or miss depending on what genre of music she sang. She moved away, was staying with "a family friend", and then came back... All of a sudden all of her vocal range has improved, her breath control is flawless, she has perfect pitch, she is able to adjust the distance of the mic while singing, and can now even DANCE while singing! Now your niece wants to sing against her, but the family won't let you meet the aunt with the degree in "physics" who went to Julie Arts before the singing competition. :huh Fix your story.
Haha, this is the guy who used a baby floyd as a human shield with a shotgun aimed at him when he got shot in the leg Also the guy willing to train Oscar De La Hoya to fight his son. The guy who left Ricky Hatton for dead in the ring as his trainer Floyd Sr cares for no-one but himself. It's about his legacy as the one who first taught Floyd, which he bases his whole "greatest trainer in the world" boasts on. Yes he is afraid of his son facing Manny, but it's not because he fears for his son's health.
a 40 year old Shane Mosley with a lackluster work rate put Floyd on ***** street and then decided to stop punching....Pacquiao will not get tired...pacquiao will win the fight on workrate alone
