Pretty sure thsi is a fight coming for KP 168lb debute. no way they go str8 for Bute. so how does KP do in this fihgt. we no this is not the lacy of old but he's still young enough and maybe can do some damage. since it doesn't look like brinkely will risk him #1 ranking against KP Lacy is a fighter HBO will approve. so who wins this fight. is lacy shoulder truley heald this time or is he just shot. and if his shoulder is heald and his left Hook is back does it really improve his chances. How is Kp mentally after being outboxed by a smaller man. does he still have the determination, as he seemed not to in it between rounds.
i see Kp getting his confidence back with this fighter standing infront of him i look to him pounding LAcy out in 6 rounds. if lacy shoulder truely is healed then this will be intresting to see.
wow , never thought of this match up , this is a perfect comeback fight for pav, a opponent who stands right in front of you , slow ,plodding , and faded , pavlik by ko
yeah but it'll also give lacy one last chance to get back into things. after this i would think it would be smart for Kp to fight Southpaw mover with a light punch
I think it's a good match up for Pavlik to start out at 168. I don't know, Pavlik has become a complete joke or he was just that overrated. The guy is a one trick pony. I really don't know what to think of Pavlik anymore. He fooled most of us. He got the perfect opponents in Miranda and Taylor, guys who stood toe to toe and were very easy to locate. Who knew how awful Pavlik would be if he had someone who move a little?
Disgraceful fight for Pav to take now. Lacy is so terrible now that he made a shot to **** RJ look like the Roy of the 90's. Pre-Calzaghe Lacy vs Pavlik would be an interesting fight.
Lacy has been busy earning robberies over bums and getting schooled by wash-ups the past few years. I don't think I've seen him hurt anybody the past half decade. This is in no way a viable fight.
Can I vote neither? Actually I see a lot of potential with this. Lacy is pretty much the only guy you can come up with that people have heard of, who is under the age of 50, that Pavlik would surely KTFO. A 2nd choice would be the Croatian bouncer Tarver Decisioned a couple year ago. "The Kosovo Kid"
I don't see this fight happening, but let's be honest, stranger has happened. Kelly may yet skip 168, the decision has not been made yet. Reports are that he felt good at 185 when he showed up to train for Martinez but on 'decision day' they weighed him at 178. I think this is why they are still trying to figure it out. The tourney actually makes 168 a dead zone now AND once it is done. You will have 5 guys that may look to move up to 175 since they won't be top dog at 168 so it might not be a bad idea for Kelly to establish himself at that weight now. The best outcome for the tourney is for the winner to lose to Bute or whoever holds that title. Now you have five guys that can claim a 'style makes fights' chance of beating that guy. Otherwise, 168 is pretty much settled without much fresh meat on the horizon for a while.
Thats what your gonna hear when Lacy lands a left hook. I like this style match up. Lacy is a hooker. You don't hook with hooker, or you are going to catch something. I think Pavlik likes to trade punches too much
