http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100524/ap_on_sp_bo_ne/box_pacquiao_ulcer He's ok apparently and out now, it was an Ulcer and Acid Reflux possibly caused by fatigue and missing meals. You should see the General on this too, "It's caused by steroids" "I had this when I juiced up" Just out of curiosity though does anybody worry than Manny runs the risk of 'over-doing it' ? If/when (whichever way you wanna look at it) the fight gets signed, surely all this celebrity/politician/man of the people business will have to be put firmly to one side. Personally I feel Floyd will beat him but, regardless, he HAS to be 100% for it if it materializes
The general forum kids need another hobby. I know what you mean about over-doing it, but Manny has always led a hectic life - he seems to thrive on it. Whilst he's probably busier than ever now, it's just the way he operates. I, personally, won't be overly concerned for him - his preparation will be good.
I would expect so too. I know he usually has a hectic lifestyle being as popular as he is over in the Phillipines, I was just curious as to how much time the 'political career' of his would take up, at what could be the worst possible time to be concentrating on something other than the sport.
Yup, I'd be amazed if there weren't distractions, I just don't think it affects him particularly. There were rumours about distractions before the Cotto fight also. His biggest issue is going to be trying to hit Mayweather on the chin!
Just thinking about it actually Floyd has a lot of distractions. Maybe it's just the kind of 'distraction' they need. instead of getting themselves wound up and frustrated by training/the fight/the pressure etc etc, it's a welcome distraction - In measures of course
It's probably also a side effect of being paid millions of dollars for a fight and then wondering where it's all gone..... without realising that if you have 100+ flunkies in tow your cash disappears pretty sharpish :yep
Yeah maybe, but its also the side effect of having too much too much acidy drinks, maybe he had too much Pepsi
all I am saying is be fair to the morons on general it is a side affect. in my opinion i see all fighters now as dirty until they proove otherwise. Mayweather, Mosley, any boxer to fight in Germany on RTL in the last few year have all taken a decent level of drug testing.
Ha ha all you guys fell for this. This is just a story spun by the Pacman camp so PBFs camp get suckered into a fight as they begin to believe Pac has tummy problems. Its just like when Haye suckered Enzo into a showdown with the weight b/s.
