He must also think the left hook hits the left side of the face.

It proves exactly what I've been saying which is you can't shoulder roll a left hand from a southpaw if you're orthodox. ITS JUST A ****ING ANATOMICAL FACT. Except for maybe EXTREMELY rare cases, at some very awkward angle. You can however roll off their rights with your shoulder. Stop arguing this with me. Or like I said go bring this up to any credible boxing trainer.

Roach is playing minda games....he thinks that by saying all this BS floyd will try new things.....Floyds skills will beat pacquiao.....

But of course the shoulder roll won't work against a fighter full of steroids.....Pacquiao is on more **** then barry bonds...and let's not get into all this he's never tested positive ****....there's a lot of users that never tested positive.....Manny is a cheat.....he's going to try to fight Floyd clean and get destroyed....then he'll blame it on the drug test

No **** buddy, whenever that doesnt work, Floyd has shown to switch to a high guard.
:patsch Just let it go, you've backed paddled on this, again, nobody is saying its the best defense to negate a straight left or the power hand of the southpaw, but to say it not effective is flat out bull**** like I've been trying to say!

And something else, you stating its fact doesnt mean jack **** to me, its still your opinion!:-(

Mayweather changes to high guard and Pac doesn't land a meaningful left hand the entire fight. Or mayweather rolls to the left and uses the left hook on Pac's exposed chin (because he drops his right hand damn near down to his waist when he throws his left). Or shoots the right hand over Pac's left. Or slips under the left and throws the right hook.

Floyd is more than the shoulder roll, he's the most complete fighter who's ever stepped into the ring. If he had one punch KO power, he'd be banned from the sport.

morales was successful with a shoulder roll in the first fight with pacquiao, as posted earlier.

Yeah I'm not saying he can't do that. He'll obviously use a high guard. These fools are trying to argue simple physics.

I never said a shoulder oll can't be used on a southpaw, only that it's way less effective. You can roll off their right hands, but in general not their lefts. If you wanna argue it further, bring it up to a boxing trainer.

how about just watch some boxing matches? if a southpaw can use a shoulder roll against an orthodox fighter, an orthodox fight can use it against a southpaw. the same principles apply. i've seen judah, cotto, and bute roll punches with the shoulder many times.

I agree that the shoulder roll is not great vs. lefties. But, unlike Corley and Judah, Pac has short arms. He's going to have a much harder time shooting that straight left in, especially with counters coming from both sides. Pac will have to get close to land his left which will leave him open to the left hook. And Floyd's right hand is immaculate.

No matter how you cut it, Pac is swimming upstream.
