    Boggles the mind.

I'm in love with the sport. Marco Antonio Barrera could be tragically killed in his next fight, I would be devastated, but I'd continue to watch Boxing for as long as I live.

...I'm not sure if someone who turns their back on the sport for such a trivial reason could ever have loved Boxing.

I picked "you're not a true boxing fan", but if I could I'd go for the following one:

    "You're an idiot"

Not you Tony, but the person who turns their back on the sport because of two fighetrs alone. Who cares man, boxing doesn't start and finish with Pac and Floyd. We've got plenty of other fighters we'll turn our attention to.

Boxing politics have ruined many a fan unfortunately. Just the way it is... Now with MMA being so poplular, I could totally see someone turning their backs on boxing. Sad but true. Boxing needs an enema in many ways.

Jesus...I could quite happily never watch either Pacquiao or Mayweather step in the ring again...people would actually turn their back on Boxing...for any reason? ...Wow.

I think it's just the principal...here we have two of the greatest fighters of all time...two guys who be surely be top 30 ATG at the very least once their careers are over...a fight everyone wants to see...there is NO reason why they shouldn't fight? How often do two guys with the historical stature and credentials of those two have the opportunity to fight? Because of weight differences, almost never...they are also both prime! I mean, man, I can go on and on about the significance of this fight...it will be a BLUNDER if it doesn't happen. How many fights throughout history can you consider a blunder they didn't happen?

"trivial reason"? You really consider a fight of this magnitude "trivial"?

I don't currently consider Floyd Mayweather Jr to be a top 30 P4P fighter, Mr.Tony.

I watch Boxing every day. I dream about it, I talk about it.

Any reason would be "trivial" to me.

Yep, wont turn my back on it but it will show that boxing really doesnt reward its fans. Every other sport, the best faces the best, except maybe mma with different orgs, here we have the 2 best, everyone wants it but its not gonna happen? A joke really.

True, I share your sentiments on this fight. It will be a crime if it was not to take place. But it doesn't over ride the fact that no man (or two men) can be bigger than the sport. Mayweather vs Pacquiao failing to take stage (as significant as it is), does not warrant a true boxing fan to turn their back on the sport.

Doesn't diminish other great fights out there.

You can boycott their fights and still be a boxing fan. That would be a reasonable and fair reaction to such a falling out. Unless one is clearer more to blame, which at this juncture isn't to be known since negotiations are being kept out of the media.
