I say no. To me it's just an excuse that stems from jealousy. He's just trying to discredit Manny's achievements, that's all there is to it.

Pac is in his prime and doing well, Floyd wants leftover 'names' to feed off and smaller guys that are rated highly.

He ain't been near a prime fighter for years and years.

Use your brain, it's really not that hard to work out. He only fights guys he knows he has a great chance of beating.

I would say he believes it, see to me Mayweather is not the ultra confident person he likes to portray.

Mayweather is the type of guy that will only fight when he has a 60% or more advantage in his favour, take the JMM fight, that was viewed by majority of fans as a bit of a joke of a fight, but Mayweather basically threw any degree of credibility he would of got from that fight out the window because he HAD! to make sure he pulled that thing at the weight to gain more of advantage than he already had, that to me is reflective of his inner confidence.
