But if its the only thing preventing a fight, then go 50/50. I don't think ****ers would be championing Floyd for an equal purse split if the situation was reverse but the hypocrisy is so greatly in favor of Pac, why should this be any different.

How so? Pac/Cotto was about equal to Flody/Mosely in popularity. The difference was about 150k. That's not a whole lot when compared to over a million. A few marketing changes here and there and the numbers would fluctuate again.

its not as wide as you think. after mayweathet, the causal fan dosent anybody else. while mayweather is the bigger draw, pac isnt far behind. this is due to moving up and wieght and lookign dominant. and mayweather retiring helped gain pac attention because at that point, pac propelled to the top of boxing, effecitvely taking mayweather;s spot. mayweather is clearly the bigger draw, but it isnt a landslide.

Sad part is that I didn't even do side by sides. I just grabbed two random fights and got that. If I did side by sides it would have been even worse!

    Hatton
    ODLH
    JMM
    Mosley

    It would be insane! :nut

Floyd/SSM was 1.4 vs. Pac/Cotto 1.25. Do you think SSM has the following of Cotto?

Like I said before, Pac only sells well with two headliners and even then he doesn't outsell Mayweather.

    150K * $59 = $8,850,000

That ain't a drop in the bucket. That was SSM's cut of his last fight.

I said it before.....Floyd will go for the money. The purse wasn't the issue before b/c Floyd didn't have the leverage to get the lions share....now he seemingly does with his superior PPV numbers. That could be the nail in the coffin right there folks.

.... AND RIGHTLY SO..... pacquiao had his chance earlier, now is a bigger purse 4 Mayweather & no cut-off date.... hopefully Mayweathers stand up to that. That's only fair!!!! Mayweather has been clear about this from the very beginning. What would make anybody think anything has changed? In any case it changed 4 PBF! Mayweather beat the guy @ 147 in Mosley and he beat him in more than convincing fashion... this coming from a Mosley fan....

Don't forget the gate revenue numbers further eroding Pac's negotiating position.

Dude the nails in the coffin were:

-- Pac running from 14 days lying saying it wasn't offered
-- Mosley doing full USADA testing killing the "why only Pac argument"
-- FMJ/SSM doing GREAT numbers killing the "equal draw argument"
-- The testing schedule being publish showing that even the USADA gave an 18 day testing window (by their own discretion) killing the "too close to the fight argument"
-- Margarito mysteriously turning down a great opportunity against Martinez
-- Pac returning accepting 14 days with some BS "not too much blood" (According to who? :huh) showing he will flake on future negotiations
-- Team Pac negotiating in the press exactly like they said they wouldn't

    Come on man.

The tickets my parents received showed a bill of 1189$ for two tickets to fly from Chicago to back home.

Yea man. I just love to lie about **** like that. :patsch

    You're a human disgrace.

Mosley doesn't have anything like a core group of fans but he has all of America. Cotto is only hugely popular in the Puerto Rican community - Mosley is popular throughout America.

I think both guys are a similar draw. Considering Mayweather/Mosley had a massive amount of money for promotion, I don't see it being more successful. Had it done what we expected, sure, but it massively underachieved.

And Pacquiao selling 700,000 against Clottey with tiny promotion, was a great number. You have to go to before Mayweather being a draw, to find a PPV fight against a fighter like Clottey, so that's unfair.

That's expensive, mate. It cost me less for a return to America, from Manchester, England. About $900, I believe.
