Can't figure it out.:think If he's has good as he claims to be, you'd think he'd welcome the chance to prove his metal & get in there & beat Pacquiao silly. He's the bigger man, with the supposeded greatest boxing skills. So what is it exactly thats keeping him from jumping on the oppotunity to take this fight? Doesn't he read boxing forums & see how many are questioning his fortitude? Could it be his advisors are telling Floyd he doesn't want to do this? With these guys, you don't know what to believe. Would be nice to be a fly on the wall when PBF & his Team are discussing matters.
It's called being human and either being scared or just second guessing yourself. Maybe it's all boxing politics with this drug testing issue.
This is the same thing we went through with the Mosley fight. Everyone said he had to fight Mosley, then everyone said he was scared of Mosely. Once the fight was signed, Mayweather was then supposedly forced to fight Mosley. Then after Mayweather beat Mosley's ass, the excuses started to flood in; Mosley was shot, Mosley overtrained etc. You will see the same pattern in regards to Mayweather and Pacquiao.
So you think the mega fight will go down the same way...with PBF the winner & ppl will say Pac wasn't as good as we all thought? But what if Floyd gets starched in there?
I think it is how he is built. Inferiority complex, always trying to be perfect, afraid to take chances to fug that up. His own dad tells him to not fight him. That ain't gonna help him much.
I didn't read the stuff about Floyd Sr saying that when the news broke. Figured it was just more BS surrouding this fight. It has to be said...Floyd just doesn't want to risk losing that "0" in his loss column. And he must view Pac as a dangerous threat. Hell, I would, too! So is Floyd smart by playing it safe, or stupid for not taking the risk, or just plain chicken for not WANTING to take the risk? :huh
Most people in the public eye are selling some type of image. Some fighters sell their explosive style, some their technique, Floyd sells his "unbeatableness." If we think as boxers as businesses or coporations, each with something to sell, then the Floyd "brand" drops dramatically in stocks if he loses.
More than likely Mayweather will win, and will win decisively. Anything can happen in there, but I have to go with the most likely outcome. If Mayweather wins, expect excuses to come up about Pac being weakened by blood, or distracted by his political duties or some other nonsense. If Pacquiao wins? Well, most people are dying to see Mayweather lose so we can safely assume that Pacquiao will be showered with praise.
the problem with boxers who just jump head first into any fight is that they end up ruining their career and making no money pbf AND pac are both big draws and make good $, and they both have had very well managed careers (pac got better management a little late, but it made a HUGE difference) now look at mosley, just out there searching for fights, taking on everyone, and it hurt him he took some losses, lost his status, and wasn't getting good paydays because of it. in this sport, one bad choice can ruin your career...rushing into anything would be stupid
:blood:blood:blood:blood:blood:blood:blood:blood:blood:blood ****, don't know where to start. But this is why Mosley's generation was greater than this one.
I think both sides have had enough time to think things over. Its the fight the whole boxing world wants & if someone keeps throwing in the ****** wrench to prevent it, that will ruin his career far worse that any loss in the ring. :good
It indeed went down like that...unfortunately, there is a war raging on ESB - Mayweather fans vs Pacquiao fans, and being that I'm a fan of both, but lean more towards Pacquiao, I find myself having to make more negative remarks about my 2nd favorite fighter than I normally would - if this war wasn't raging. But I still supported PBF the way I did before he retired, these are the kinds of arguments I'd make...you are 100% correct, sir.
And its just not "boxing generations" that stink these days compared to there counter parts of the good 'ol days.
Well, if this is the way its going, fans loving "great boxing management" otherwise known as cherrypicking your wins, then boxing is :tomb...
