Based on Floyd's PPV#'s he has a right to request the lions share. But regarding overall popularity both have a legit case to request the lions share or an equal split. Floyd is slightly the bigger PPV draw just in the US, not world wide...but that doesn't mean the man is more popular outside of the US PPV bracket or realm.

Manny world wide is a bigger draw...he's seen as the top fighter in the sport for many...Not all, but most. He's won fighter of the year 3 times in a row and won FOTD recently.

His stock is just as big as Floyds in the US...maybe a tad shy, but overall he's enjoyed much more sucess with regards to his global popularity. Overall his accomplishments in the sport also indicates that Manny is pretty much on level with Floyd in every area except with US PPV numbers where Floyd....The AMERICAN fighter holds a slight edge.

Manny isn't american...he's not even from a neighboring country where his appeal would be easier to market. Yet he's neck and neck with a very marketable american, former olympian and self proclaimed mega star. This from a very unlikely form of competion considering Manny is asian...from a small 3rd world country who didn't have a strong AM background...who didn't make the Olympics...who barely speaks english.

I'd say that's room enough to request a 50/50 split and I think by Manny giving Floyd 50/50 in the 1st round of negotiations after his PPV numbers showed he was more popular in the US at that time only shows he really wanted to make the fight happen back in March. If Floyd uses his PPV#'s as reason to get the lions share b/c his PPV numbers were bigger would indicate he doesn't want the fight. I'm sure he wants the MONEY....but I guess the fight itself is not appealing enough to over shadow $40 to $50 Mill...

that is what is holding up the fight from being made...

    floyd wants more $
    pac side wants 50/50

    50/50 is bs...

floyd vs hatton = pac vs hatton
floyd vs odlh = pac vs odlh
floyd vs marquez = pac vs clottey
floyd vs shane = shane vs cotto

    floyd win's in all scenarios

floyd vs odlh was the most in demand fight in boxing at the time
floyd vs cotto was the most in demand fight that never happened
floyd vs hatton out sold pac vs hatton
floyd vs marquez outsold pac vs clottey & hatton

no possible way you can realistically justifiy pac deserving 50%

**** all this world wide appeal... shits irrelevant

floyds 0 on his record + his fan support> manny's fan support
floyds ppv history > manny's ppv history

    NO justification

There should be more fights were the winner takes the lion's share.

50/50 is fair, or make a 60/40 winner contract.

  10. You're out of your ****ing mind!!

It should be 51.37529 in favor of Floyd and 48.62471 for Pac.

Anyone who say differently should get AIDS and die.

 Of course it's irrelevant if it doesn't help your agenda. That's exactly what Floyd hopes he can strong arm in negotiations.

Floyd is only a US PPV draw....Manny is a Global draw. Since the fights in the US Floyd is basing his stance on getting the lions share based on his PPV numbers....that's not all that plays into purse split especially when he's NOT DOMINATING In PPV buys.

DLH had no comp when he was the golden boy......Floyd has very stiff comp from Manny who shouldn't be ANY competition to floyd considering Floyd is the US fighter. Floyd can ask for 50/50...it's his right, but that will only indicate that he's really not looking to fight Manny trying to take that stance. I can't say this is a surprise to me...I was calling Floyd out on this to happen MONTHS ago.

Because this will draw around 3mil ppv buys NOT because Floyd is fighting, Not because Pac is fighting but because Floyd AND Pac is fighting. People will be drawn the event.

Let me break this down to you..... With Floyd's lifestyle his money in the bank right now won't last 10 years while Pac's since he lives in the Philippines will last maybe at least 50 years. If Floyd will insist on a bigger piece of the pie he'll risk not getting the most money which will only be materialized if he fights Pac. Against Pac Floyd might earn at least $50 million. He might need to fight 3 times to get this money and he's running out of option while Pac, if he is to retire now he is financially secured for life. We know both need this fight not just for their bank account but for their legacy as well but Floyd need this fight most and he cant afford to bully himself into getting the bigger money or else.....

Honestly, why the **** do you guys care so much. ****ing hell, it's not like you guys get the ****ing money. Why not make a thread on why this fight needs to be made etc etc rather then trying to see who should get the bigger share :patsch
