I don't wanna take sides here but, I don't see a problem with Floyd asking for the 55/45 based on these figures.
I am sure if you look at ticket sales and closed circuit they would also be overwhelming in floyds favor. That being said, I still don't see the problem with 50/50. Niether guy can make that kind of money fighting anyone else.
How many ppv's did Floyd ever sell in the lower weight classes (135 and under)? The number 1 disparity as far as I'm concerned is that Pac was ppv draw in weight classes that casual fans typically ignore. Furthermore, It's also logical to argue that Pac's ppv numbers against De La Hoya and Hatton would have been significantly greater than what they were had he fought them when Mayweather did. The fact that each of those two lost in their respected matches against Floyd deceased their drawing power by the time they fought Pacquiao.
Because Freddie is just talking...I don't see how anyone can say Mayweather deserves 10% more...that's just ridiculous. Not to say Pac deserves more, but in my opinion, it should be either 50-50, or 51-49 in favor of PBF...but 10% more? Get the **** outta here!
This thread should get some interesting responses. "Everyone Floyd fought was the draw and he just piggybacked on their numbers! Even though Pacquiao sold less against the same guys!"
LOL really simple when you take emotions out of the equation and just look at facts. PBF 60-40 and lets fight
Arum just cost his fighter between 5-10 million dollars from just the purse split alone. Should have taken the gift he was given the first around.
