Stop dreaming that Floyd is doing a sale. That sale analogy doesn't work here.

Floyd actually needs this fight more than Manny. ESB agreed with this. Hence, it is for Floyd to lose this fight more than Manny.

    I disagree....

Mayweather has proven that it does not matter who he fights, but the fight will make money.

By beating Mayweather convincingly that would move Pac further up in all time great status than that of Mayweather beating Pac.

On the other hand... Mayweather can move up in weight without Pac and still make great money and a great legacy...

Suddenly it doesn't seem too much out of question for me that Mayweather could possibly be a Middleweight champ.

I agree to disagree. People will say Floyd has more to gain, others will say Pac has more to gain. No one has a significant edge over this.

    Fair enough:good

I just believe a win over Mayweather would do more for Pac's legacy than a victory over Pac by Mayweather.

Mayweather has pretty harsh critics, and I think they would find a way to discredit a win over Pac, while if Pac beat Mayweather, there is not much anyone can say to discredit the victory.

I wonder if Pac will come back with - OK - You have 9 tests like Moelsy and I'll have 8 like you or something lame.

    Remember when fighters fought?

    Good times.

Lol I just didnt want to get into that age old argument on whos done more/needs it more or what not..

Impartially speaking, I think Mayweather wont be able to get his critics off his back until he either- loses, humbles up and makes a dramatic comeback, or retires and decades pass.

When someone claims to be the greatest, being really great or not there will always be people to play the devils advocate.

I'm sure there will be some financial repercussions for the cheater and the fight would probably go on. Obviously, no one would want the fight to be cancelled.

Edit: Or, they would cancel it and someone would be on trial for financial damages.

You don't get it. Your example demonstrates that. The negotiations ENDED and the situation changed in the interim. Grasp that.

Floyd beating Pacquiao would be a great win. Pacquiao beating Floyd would be one of the greatest wins of all time. That's the difference.

It doesn't matter. Reason being that if negotiations re-began and it went the other way, as in Floyd conceding to 24 days, and Pac moving back to 30 people would say its Pacs fault. The fact is that although this is a new fight, the old negotiations once existed and that's what onlookers are going to see. They're going to see the whole picture.

Floyd actually said this even before his fight against Mosley.

What? A great win? Are you kidding all he is doing is beating a midget with Ulcers who isn't focused on boxing, so this win doesn't count. And if he fights Sergio Martinez, Martinez is an old man and the fight was fixed. If He fights Paul Williams at 154, Williams was weight drained. If he moved up to 168 and fought the winner of the Super Six, he was taking on an exhausted shell shocked fighter. He is clearly cherry picking his opponents.

Or at least that is what the haters and *******s/Pacstans? would say
