The only difference between the old negotiations and the new ones is that Floyd has more clout. If people don't see that, they're probably not in tune with how things work.

Floyd would have to fight every fighter in the Super Six and Lucian Bute before I'd start to give him the benefit of the doubt. Until he does that, we can't be sure whether his career was smoke and mirrors.

This is also why I believe Pac should take Mayweather's demands and make the fight.

Pac could be out boxed by Mayweather, and It would not drop Pac's legendary status in my eyes.

But If Pac were to beat Mayweather, I think Mayweather's status would be hurt a bit.

Floyd: I want to fight Pacquiao and I'm not scared, but take this drug test because i'm convinced you are on steroids

Pac: OK, even though I'm not required to I will...but only 24 days out

    Floyd: No deal.

Pac: Ok, i'll do 14 days out now

Floyd: Now I changed my mind...random testing up to fight night.

...Hmmmm, who is making this fight more difficult?

no, thats more reason for Pac not to take his demands...its a higher risk fight for Manny...and here you have a guy who is bigger than him accusing him of being on roids...Pac shouldnt have to cave to anything Floyd wants....Floyd needs this win for his legacy more than Pac does without a doubt.

If I could ask Floyd one question it would be "WHY DON'T YOU JUST FIGHT THE GUY IF YOU THINK IT WILL BE SUCH AN EASY FIGHT?"

Manny has a reason...he doesnt like giving blood...a lot of athletes dont...what is Floyds reason? That he's scared Manny might be on roids? That he might get knocked out? So apparently he doesnt think its gonna be an easy fight.

I have to disagree... A win over Mayweather by Pac would be comparable to Duran beating Leonard in my opinion. That is Pac's best option, and by far the most money he can make.

I think Mayweather can move up in weight, make big fights that generate a bunch of money (maybe not as much as a fight with Pac), and can cement his legacy... It doesn't sound all that crazy to me for Mayweather to win a JMW or MW title at this point.

Pac has better names on his resume than Floyd and he's winning more impressively than Floyd is...not to mention he has gone up more weight classes than Floyd and is knocking guys out

That's all fine and good, but he has never fought a guy even close to as talented as Mayweather, and that fight would would be a legendary win over one of the most talented boxers of the era, who happens to be a bigger man.

Pac can get beat, and it would not mean a thing in my opinion, he would have lost to a larger, fighter that has all time great skills. 2 years ago I was laughing at Pac even getting in the ring with Mayweather.

I think Mayweather has much more to lose fighting Pac, and I don't like either fighter more than the other, it is easy for me to see though that Mayweather has much more to lose than Pac does.

    How utterly depressing.

Mind Reader - It's a pretty damn level post and I think a lot of the more moderate non-*****, non-pac fans would agree.

Well if that's the case then Mayweather doesn't want to make it happen and no one sane should blame Pacquiao for anything. It's good enough that Pacquiao agreed to the new set of rules added randomly like that, now this? :patsch

Latest news: "Pac accepts new terms!"

Mayweather news: "Mayweather now demands that Pacquiao blood tests in between rounds."
