The title of my thread refers to when Ali was asked by a reporter about the size of the ring, and if it mattered wen fighting Liston...I guess not lol.

We all know that Floyd can fight flat footed, and that Floyd can stick and move when he has to...but what about Pac? We know that PAc gives angles, and that he is a very aggressive/good fighter when he is on the attack moving in and out. We even saw flashes of Pac fighting flatfooted a bit against Cotto when he was on the ropes. Now don't get me wrong...but to me it looked like PAc was really letting Cotto tire himself out a bit. Is that inside fighting? Yes, and no.

Can PAc do what Duran did to Sugar to Floyd?

Anyway...the question is, once PAc stops moving against Floyd, and it becomes a war of attration, can Manny fight flat footed, and stand up to Floyd for the full 12 and beat him?

    My answer is no.

What's your response? Floydettes and *******s need not reply!

When Manny actually stops and plants his feet, things like this tend to happen.

Are you @#!$@!$ serious lol... This didn't qualify as a boxing answer. Read the TS again son. Can Pac fight flat footed and beat Floyd is the question. Forget who has more speed, who hits harder, shoulder rolling and all that outside crap. The question is as clear as day.

They both can fight flat-footed, but I don't think that would be a good idea for floyd because it would allow manny to utilize more of his power.

:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Why discriminate against your buddies Pimp C, Leon, Samski, Cornel West, Boxing Sensei, BigRed, etc etc etc?

Secondly...what makes you think the fight would even become a war of attrition? Why would Pacquiao stop moving against Floyd? You should know that just because he used one gameplan against Cotto doesn't mean he'll use it again against Mayweather. Cotto and Mayweather are two different creatures entirely.

The fact of the matter is, these are two incredible fighters who have shown the incredible ability to get BETTER and dominate more as the fight wears on.

The real question here is, will Mayweather's counterpunching negate Pacquiao's onslought and high workrate? And can Mayweather deal with Pacquiao's unique rhythm and odd angles? Both have superior footwork.

I think Pac is out of his element when he has to fight flat footed. Power means nothing when you can't find anything to hit. People assume that PAc will just land on Floyd, and that is their imagination. Pac becomes a legend if he beats Floyd, that's how big an upset I would say this fight would be should Pac win.

You are confusing yourself. I did not compare Cotto and Floyd. My opinion is that after PAc stops moving, and has to rest, and all boxers take time to rest as Pac did against Cotto is when Floyd imo will take advantage of his size and speed. PAc's superior work rate happens when the other guy is not fighting back, or the other guy is overmatched-no offense as I've seen Morales and JMM show us what can be done to PAc when he is made flat footed. Floyd can counter punch, but Floyd is a complete fighter who can fight both ways. Pac can be hit, and hit at will at time, and Floyd is rarely hit.

The real question is "Would Floyd fight toe to toe?".

Floyd does have an extremely good defense, but he would have to utilize the high guard more often, which would reduce his visibility and leave himself more vulnerable to body punching, because with the shoulder roll the positioning would be awkward to say the least..
