Fighters are allowed to use the whole ring and judges actually judge fighters on ring generalship.This idea of running is a misunderstanding on boxing itself.Some people think slugging is the only way to box but that's not right.

 

So you're saying for example, when Clay was sent out for the 6th against Liston and Angelo said "run" - that was an example of ring generalship?

Or Oscar giving away those list four rounds against Trinidad or so was "ring generalship" that appeals to judges?

Sir excellency floyd used the 14 day cut-off during the first negociations to trap Pac.

Now it's Pac's turn for the second round!

 

Because they were making headway toward the fight before, and Floyd got butthurt because he was getting negative media attention (hell they both were) so he pretty much said "fine next time you dont get chances" even though both are on equal position to negotiate.
