But Floyd thought 14 days was just fine with an old, way past his prime, slowed down Mosley that he knew he could beat, even though Mosley was a known steroids user. Now that it's a guy that's in his prime, matches his speed and exceeds his own power, he suddenly has new, stricter demands.

There's no denying, except for the blind fans (really "marks" is a better word than fan because Floyd is more of con man than a champion) that Floyd doesn't want to fight Pac. There's really no denying he hasn't fought any of the serious contenders since 2002 when he was a lightweight. Take a look at all the guys Floyd fought since moving up from 135, then look at all the guys that were really at the top of those divisions that he could've/should've fought, and there's no doubt that he spent the last decade of his career avoiding all the toughest challenges. He'll never be considered one of the ATGs. You refuse to fight the best of your own era, you obviously forfeit the right to be called best of all time.
He'll be mentioned in future times in those ATG conversations because of the skills he possessed, but will never get unanimous recognition and will always be dogged by the reputation he's earned as the guy that wouldn't face the best.
