It can only be said that Morales was past his prime AFTER the 2nd fight with Pac, no-one said this before the fight and Morales fought like a lion on the night- no way past prime on that night. 1st time v Barrera was peak Barrera. Pacquiao's achievement in winning world title at FLYWEIGHT and lightweight (and possibly 140 soon) beats Mayweather's achievements. You can't say Pac isn't better coz he has losses on record- so might PBF if he ever fought any1 when he wasn't the overwhelming bookies favourite to win!! Pac has fought JM Marquez twice, who has PBF fought as good as him then, if Morales and Barrera were apparently shot?? NO-ONE.

There should be no debate here. There is no answer anyone can give to that last question. Pacquiao has the better resume, and it's still improving.

1st time v Barrera was peak Barrera. ---

not correct, first time Barrera had lots of training camp problems, had to shorten it, also was debate about his status to fight due to surgery and plate in his head etc., as a PACFAN you should be aware of this, and if so, you are being disingenuous in pretending it was prime Barrera - history shows he wasn't. Great upset though it was, should be seen in context of poor preparation from Barrera. I think what damages Pacquiao is the huge hype machine that comes when one person is seen as representing wholly the hopes and dreams of a country (with a huge population), which is where you have no objectivity whatever due to Pacquiao easily substituted for the country itself. I see him as similar fighter (with similar weight of country-expectation) to Acelino Freitas from Brazil. He was built up in a huge way, also had massive support, as well as having great skills, good power and won titles,he was ended though by top top fighters in their prime, and I think this will happen to Pacquiao in pretty much the same way.
as for Mayweather, no contest he will be seen as a fighter with everything, wins over great fighters and who didn't take much punishment as against Pacquiao who i rate as an exciting fighter, but more of an extremely fit athlete who has now learned how to box - I can't see anyone in future comparing them in any way... Dont think Mayweather's resume has been completed yet though...

My name on this is Pacfan because I admire his relentlessly attacking, exciting, explosive style. To me, that's what boxing should be about. Entertainment, and achievement and balls. Pac is always up for a challenge, always wanting to prove his greatness.

However, that does not make me biased towards him. I am a fan of many other current fighters as much as I am a fan of Pacquiao (ie Cotto), and I believe JMM should have got the decision in their 2nd fight. And I do not think Pac is as good as Roy Jones Jr was pound-for-pound. He still has work to do in his career to earn HOF ATG status, but at least the guy is going after it.

Floyd Mayweather built a career out of carefully chosen matches, and the truth is he NEVER beat an ELITE fighter in his career. How can that be denied?? DLH was 35 and any1 who saw him earlier in his career knows he was nowhere near what he was by the time he fought PBF. Hatton couldn't cope at welterweight against Collazo never mind a guy as talented as PBF, we all knew what that result would be before the fight. Corrales has always been overrated, he was good but never any better. Same with Judah, N'Dou and Gatti. See all these guys other losses for evidence. The only guy PBF fought who was quality was Castillo at lightweight, and as I said earlier, he should have lost their 1st fight clearly. He is not and never will be a patch on past genuine P4P#1's like RJJ or Whitaker.

    Pacquiao wins.

Mayweather has been fighting better fighters for longer but Pac's last 6 or 7 years have been incredible.

Pacquiao slightly ahead right now but a Mayweather win over Pac and a Pac loss to Mayweather would move Mayweather ahead IMO. Pac beats Mayweather and the debate ends.

I would say Pacquiao, but only because many of the fights he won, he was the underdog unlike Mayweather who was the favourite in most of his fights. When its all said and done, I would say the resumes are pretty even, untill Mayweather beats Pacquiao.
