Using the East Side Boxing rankings, I have tried to statistically calculate what the best alphabet belt is.

I used a points system based on the East Side Boxing World Rankings (

) where I awared points to each alphabet champion based on position. I only included the highest champion. When there was a crossover (i.e fighter with more than 1 belt) points were awared to both belts.

20 points would go to an ESB Champ and 17 points to the number 1 ranked fighter in a vacant title division.

from there I would give 15 points to number 1, 14 to number 2 and so on.

I would give 10 bonus points to a belt for having the highest ranked fighter as Champion.

I would also have minus 10 points awarded to the belt with the lowest ranked fighter as champion.

the final results were

WBC - 231 points (4 Highest Ranked, 3 Lowest Ranked)
WBO - 210 points (5 Highest Ranked, 3 Lowest Ranked)
WBA - 190 ((4 Highest Ranked, 4 Lowest Ranked)
IBF - 188 points (4 Highest Ranked, 4 Lowest Ranked)

The WBC won mainly due to the fact they have no champions ranked outside the top 5, whereas the others had quite a few low ranked Champions.

Serious question. Do you work for ESB or just have a lot of free time?

According to the poll I made a while ago the WBC is also the one that's taken the most serious by ESB posters, but the IBF does it a lot better in that one.

The Ring isn't worth a ****. The Ring is the same organization that wouldn't let Shane be the WW champion after beating the consensus #1 in Margarito when he was rated in the top 5 at the time, which should have made him their champ, but instead of following their own rules they had a vote to decide if Shane would be the champ, citing Paul Williams beating Margo as a reason for why Shane shouldn't be the new champ, only to make Shane the #1 and then kick Williams out of their WW ranking completely. **** them, they are just the marketing arm of GBP now.

We can all argue about the ring ratings, and who should be number 1 or 2. But it is still the best fu...... thing outthere, throw every other belt out, WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF does not mean ****, the ring is the best outthere.

They have the best champ policy, but aside from that their rankings are worse than the WBO, WBC, IBF, and WBA put together. Lets not forget the **** the Ring pulled with Don King in creating fictional boxers and records.

ESB Rankings are the best.
