Froch relies more on natural instinct and toughness than skill when he fights....

Froch is constantly off balance, throws wide looping punches, holds his hands low, and generally looks sloppy and all over the place when he fights....

The style works for him, but its hardly what Id call a skillful style....

While abraham is no ward or dirrell, he has a high tight guard, throws straight punches, throws combos, and has a solid base......

Froch holds his left hand like he was protecting a glass knee cap, and he telegraphs his jab really bad. Those are career long habits that will probably get him knocked out against AA. I think the fight plan I layed out would work, but I don't think there is much chance of Carl implementing anything like that because it involves keeping his freaking hands up.

Abraham's punches are not always that straight, sometime they are wild and looping. Especially in combinations. Froch has a better jab and is arguably a better counter-puncher, though it is subtle. He regards himself as a counter-puncher though and that should tell you something, not to mention he is a World Championship medalist.

Abraham uses looping and straight punches to break through peoples guard... The way he alternates between them is quite skillful actually.

Froch throws to many wide hayemakers that throw him off balance....

abraham even has a very decent handspeed you just barely get note of that because of his d he fires out from and his wide hooks which makes him look like some telegraph

You forgot a couple af attributes:

    AA < Froch Stamnia
    AA < Froch Workrate
AA < Froch Experience against worldclass opposition

I for one do not think it is delusional to have a gameplan of box and move against AA even if your name is Carl Froch. If Froch can capatalize on his reach and keep AA of him, he could win this fight rather easily.

I think Dirrell would have got knocked out, legally, if that fight had kept going. Froch, will trade with him at some point, and then he will get knocked out.

Carl is probably better under pressure and i think AA's chin is pretty untested at the weight but i agree AA has most of the aces in this fight:good

Hmmm, now that wouldn't be pretty much the exact style of Kelly Pavlik would it?

    Oh yes, yes it is.

Agreed. Froch is no walk over, but his defensive liabilies could undo him in this one.
