Nigel Benn was the first British fighter to, have these fanatic type British fans supporting him,loud and vocal like Ricky Hatton. Going to Nigel Benn fight, was like going to a Millwall vs westham game, the crowd was full of hard *******s, some black hard *******s and some white hard *******s....colour didn't matter. Nigel Benn attracted that type of crowd, he was a hard man himself. And loved his country, was a very very patriot man, it was as if he never ;left the army. And he was still fighting to protect the nation........ Black..British..And Proud and he made this very very vocal. Guys like David Haye, walk to the ring with half his shorts covered in the Union Jack...and some Turkish flag on the other side....."Not a fan of that" Nigel Benn didn't need any of that, his heart was covered in it.

Benn was ridicoulsly aggressive and entertaining, it's a shame that we have had no one like him since.
