Forget about Floyd forget about Pac this is the real reason that the sport of boxing needs Proper and thorough drug/Blood testing.

Of all sports, boxing is one that should have a

tolerance policy for performance enhancing drugs.

The point of the game is to land damaging blows to the body and head of your opponent.
If a boxer is using a substance that takes him beyond the natural peak of his strength and endurance levels, it creates more than just an unfair advantage. It creates a more dangerous situation for his opponent.

Right now the Olympic style testing is the best that we've got so let's use it till somethine else better comes along.

So put the Floyd/Pac feud aside cause this is for the good of the sport.

Like I've posted before. Feel the need for change for the better? Prove it by talking to the ones that count instead of obviously forcing it one boxer to satisfy the ego, fear, and jealousy of another.

Urine and blood test immediately after the fight is find. Void has never ordered another boxer to take tests according to his demands. Void is not above boxing. Void beat up a woman! Now Roger is in trouble for the same.

    :?

Caneman I agree with you that the commissions need to be the ones to implement the new testing, it shouldn't be dictated by a fighter.

Farmboxer what the **** do Floyd and Roger beating up a woman have to do with anything? You hate Floyd so much that you can't even stay on topic. Dude your deep hatred for Floyd is truly disturbing...:-( I mean you hate this dude like he ****ed ya girl nutted in her mouth and then she kissed you or something. You take this Floyd **** a little to personal... you got over 21,000 post and bet at least 5,000 of them is that lame as void void:bart **** you always post Damn dude chill out...:hat

I wish people would stop calling it Olympic style testing.

Olympic style testing allows for full year round random testing, in and out of season.

This proposed model for boxing is nothing like that.

It's called that because that's what it's modeled after. So what you don't have a whole year of testing...The testing would cover the Entire fight process from the time the fight is signed till the post fight test. Which is a lot better than what we've got now.

What should we call it then Modified Olympic style testing:?.. there hows that...:think

Or better yet you could name it...cause frankly I don't:-( care what they call it as long as they do it:yep.

Mate - Set up a petition.

    I would sign for it.

Can we make one for a national body to regulate the sport too while we're at it?

I don't give a **** really. Random drug testing will do me fine.

It should just be something that is done, or isn't. End of story.

The other thread about Povetkin asking for tests, and Wlad saying no, has idiots saying "Povetkin is the challenger, he has no right to make that demand"

And they're probably the same people sayin "Pac is ducking Floyd because he won't take the tests, Pac is on roids for sure"

You either test for it in a clear, documented manner or you don't.

End of story. The more **** like this happens, the sooner boxing is dead in the water.

    good luck with that crusade.

unfortunately, its going to make the sport bankrupt. Too much beurocracy. No one is going to enforce it.

Ok random drug testing it is then...Right now it isn't done and it should be. Powerful establishments don't like change:-( so I know this will take some time.

I have no problem with OSDT...none at all. What I DO have a problem with is PBF acting like he is some kind of annointed savior, sent by the boxing Gods to clean up the sport. If he really felt that strongly about cleaning up the sport, why is it just now coming up? The man has been in the fight game for over 15 years...why did all this bull**** all the sudden come up when it came to fighting Manny Pacquiao? PEDs were an issue in boxing way before accusations about Pac started coming up.

A lot of people have a problem with that, I have a problem with that...but like I said lets leave them to out of it for this discussion. Lets focus on the drug testing only.
