I wouldn't say out of shape and blubbery. Sosnowski is always in good shape, it's just that he's in great shape right now. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sd-smlkYFLY[/ame]
Let's get one thing straight. The US is a mix of Europeans and blacks. The eastern Europeans came into the mix later and they're dominating.
People outside of the US don't like to hear this, but over here boxing justisn't a mainstream sport. Unless you are here in the states and actually watch "American" sports like NFL and NBA, then you simply don't see just how the lure of boxing to young kids just isn't there. You have ESPN showing regular season high school football and basketball games, along with all these signing day shows, and recruitment websites, along with every local news station showing basketball and football highlights at 11. Then you have Colleges who are basically a farm league for the professional teams. Boxing has taken a backseat in the minds of American youth. And is nonexistent in the minds of some of them. I am sure that people i Europe have sports that are more popular than boxing, but I don't think boxing has diminished there the way it has here. I don;t hear many Europeans talking this "boxing is dying" bull****, because it's doing quite well there, from what I gather. Not trying to start a big debate about whether NFL Players could whip all the Euros, but to someone living here, there is no doubt that other sports are the clear option for young guys in this country who are big, coordinated, and athletic.
I said that, fool. Like I said. I'm not trying to start any debate. I am just stating what I have seen through the years, as it relates to the interests of American Youth when it comes to Boxing in relation to other sports.
