I bet if you put a poll up nearly everyone would say they thought Benn won the rematch. A few might have scored it a draw.

I also like both, but slightly favor eubank...But in the rematch (yes, I have watched it outside of boxrec, thanks!) I saw 2 guys who did not do enough to deserve a win. Neither guy IMHO established control to take the fight over..I had 114-114 on my card and feel comfortable with that decision!

Fair enough, thats the post you should have made instead of the "Could I see the result???" one...:good

That sounds like a fair card. I believe the judges did a fair job in this fight 115-113 each way and 114-114 for the 3rd. I don't see how an unbiased person could make a stronger case for Eubank or Benn on either side. To me it was a close fight that neither guy did enough to win!

Just a small and pedantic point but this really winds me up...how can you rank someone by "intangibles", by definition an intangible is something that cannot truly be measured. In boxing terms if you can list what an intangible is then it isn't an intangible

I had Benn by one but I'm not going to scream "robbery" over 1 point. It was a close fight but all a fighter has to do to "deserve" to win is get more points.

    It should read ''tangibles'' :deal

It's probably a way of saying that one fighter might have more heart/courage than another without directly saying it..... but it's pretty obvious that some fighters have more stones than others, just like better jabs, hooks and defence.

Benn and Eubank both had plenty of balls, I wouldn't like to split them in that regard..... Benn might have the edge for facing the better opposition - Eubank was in the business for money and was pretty open about it.

Yeah, bad grammar on my behalf :good

a better way of putting it, is when I'm ranking two fighter for a certain placing, ad teir resumes/longevity/achievements are quite a close run thing, I say to myself 'who applied their own skillset more effectively than the other?' Or, 'who had the better attributes' (be it offensive, defensive or whatnot'

Wrong choice of word as I say.

If you were pressed to award the even rounds either way, how would you scorecard look?:good

Both were really poor in those rounds, just not deserving to win them.

Maybe Benn the 7th and Eubank the 8th, from memory, only because Eubank was even worse than Benn in 7 and equally as bad as Benn in 8 but managed to outwork him slightly in that one. Eubank got his jab working in 9 and 11, far too late in the fight. Benn landed the best punch of the fight in 10, a leaping left hook.

    So, 114-113 Eubank?

Just thought I'd see if itds change anything :good

I've got it, might rewatch it over the weekend and see how I have it. Felt Benn edged it.
