Those last rounds were brutal.. it's been a while since i watch him at that age; i didn't remember him using that right uppercut as much. Thought Manny taught him that.

No, but Manny was the one who got him to use it consistently. You see him use it occasionally from 1989-1994 (like he occasionally uses body punches in that period and occasionally fires the jab with all he's got in that period) but it was Manny who got Lewis to make these sparks of excellence into regular good habits.

 

Yeah, i love how he used it against McCall in their rematch. Such a great weapon. From there on, he used it with consistency as you mention.
